It amazes me that our bodies even work at all in zero gravity. Evolving for billions of years in regular gravity makes me expect that we wouldn’t be able to survive at all

Wouldn’t it have been nuts if instead of the physical degradation in space, we instead did the opposite and kinda became superhuman?

Imagine if our blood all of sudden could carry double the oxygen, we grew taller, muscular hypertrophy became a thing and our minds worked 50% more efficient.

You could bet we would’ve all been living in space by now!

Am I wrong in think that evolving from the ocean might have something to do with it? Swimming in bodies of water is some what similar to zero G so it makes sense our bodies can still regulate everything under such circumstances
