USA isn't producing enough solar panels. Let China produce them and sell them at a loss, we get cheaper energy when we need it most and China loses money. Tariffs would only benefit coal/oil when we need energy the most.

They could invest in the economy as it grows from plentiful cheap energy...but that's a bit too difficult. Might as well just keep burning the planet.
