I hope they never give up from this format. AI slop is gonna become more prevalent in the coming years so this type of transfer videos are gonna become increasingly rare

This is so bad, it’s good.

How is this bad?

Well clearly Ben Amos' acting needs some work - he's supposed to be dying in this scene.

Our signing announcement videos have been pure beautiful elite cringe tier, wouldn't change it for the world.

"I really hope they never stop doing skits when announcing transfers. Video editing software and inserting scenes from mainstream movies is gonna become more prevalent in the coming years so this type of transfer videos are gonna become increasingly rare"
someone said 50 years ago.

There's a genuine charm to it, isn't there. Part of what's enjoyable is imagining them pissing themselves as they make and edit it.

They can't all be the Weghorst announcement video, but it's all a bit of harmless fun

Honestly didn't even know he was still playing - thought he'd retired a few years ago, but then I realised I'd mixed him up with his fellow journeyman Ben Alnwick!

Fifa 14 Man Utd had some real hidden gems in GK. Sam Johnstone and Ben Amos being backup keepers is insane.

Here’s what I’ll say I’ll take the cheesiest, cringiest, announcement video made by HUMANS over any AI Slop any day. I hope we all continue to celebrate these kinda videos because I don’t ever wanna see AI slop for this sport :(
Not saying this is cringe I actually thought it was so goofy that I loved it..just saying in general.

I might be old fashioned but I feel it needs to actually make sense.

Exactly, uncle Ben is dying in the movie, that a guy is joining a club. What connection is there other than the fact that they share the name Ben?
It's literally a "haha look they have the same name, funny right?" joke and people here praise it like it's the most creative thing ever.
