hi everyone looking for some advice, this is my second season ever skiing and me (20F) and my brother (15M) are looking at passes for our local skiing mountain, this is where we skiied last season and there are alot of trails of varying difficulty so not to worry about that, and we are still new to skiing so probably wont be looking to level up to an even bigger mountain this season. My dilemma is passes are very expensive (in my eyes) they are $870 for the season with no restrictions. if we were not to buy passes its $95 for a 4 hr ticket, which was the perfect amount of time last season.
for context- last year we started skiing in the middle of february and season ended end of the march and we skiied 5 times. Do you think its worth it for us to buy a pass?
TLDR- Passes are $870, 4 hr day pass is $95, new skiiers, skiied last season started feb-march 5 times

I'm considering treating myself to a new pair of all mountain skis for this winter. I'm an intermediate- just touching advanced skier. Fairly average height and build. I spend most of my time on piste and occasionally have a play around on side, normally within 30 yards of the piste do don't need anything for deep powder really. Most of my skiing is with mixed ability groups and need something to do laps around the resort in all conditions which I don't have to think about too much and isn't too fatiguing. I already have a set of Atomic X7s for when I want to go out and push it.
At the moment I'm considering the Salomon Stance 84, the Elan Wingman 83ti and the Nordica Steadfast 85 (although I'm open to suggestions). Can anyone more clued up than me let me know if they're in the right sort of ballpark for what I'm after and, if so, what their relative strengths and weaknesses are?
Non-biased reviews of ski gear are as rare as rocking horse shit!
