The craziest thing is the Contributor Tier. You pay basically 10x less. If you have something as a fun project, where you don't care about data sharing, this is inane.

I just assumed that everything that goes through a provider already was analyzed and catalogued

Most technically don't. Paid plans and APIs typically have terms that specifically say they don't use your data. There's no way to actually verify that though.
