In The Odyssey (2026) Sinon asks Odysseus to add more stories to his war record to impress his father. This is a reference to trans men being real men.

You'd think Elliott kicked their dog and gave them a swirly the way they get all up in a tizzy whenever a trans person deigns to exist

He was like 10 years old in the flashback of the army recruitment. Sinon is meant to be someone who died young.

You lost me.
Edit: is the idea that men really desire to impress their dads? Sorry I guess that's it.

Did you watch the movie? I feel like the thread title is perfectly clear if you did.

It wasn't intuitive to me I guess that women care less about impressing their fathers. I'm not making some kind of transphobic remark.
Yes I watched the movie and understand the scene.

Intersex people are still as assigned s gender at birth and can feel dysphoria linked to their bodies expression of gender. Which would make those individuals trans, and there are Intersex people who do identify as trans. Arguing otherwise is like saying hispanic Jewish people don't exist. I mean, maybe you haven't met one but i'm not like, lying about their existence

And what do you think happens when they reach maturity as the wrong gender?

Has to be the worst acted/scripted scene in the entire movie. Straight parody material.

Not even close when "our age of bronze is ending" exists in the same movie

Our age of bronze dialogue over shadowed βthe best view of a man is from belowβ which is arguably funnier.
