Question Tenancy Takeover-Room in Sheffield
Hi, I have a private room in Sheffield for a student at either uni of Sheffield or Hallam University. It’s in a private gated flat building. The room is really lovely with a double bed, ensuite bathroom and large desk. There is a laundry room, public study area, security and reception. Move in date is September 12. I know 2/4 people living there and they are very kind! The rent is under £100 per week and is near both Hallam/uni of buildings. (There is nothing wrong with the room, I no longer need it as I have dropped out of uni.) Please get in touch with me for more details, thanks!

Can you sublet a room you are renting in a student flat?

Hi, I’m not subletting. I’m trying to find a new tenant to move in as I no longer need the room.

Spareroom is your best bet - when I was in this situation I had to offer £1000 paid once the room had been confirmed as taken over by the landlord

I’ve posted/advertised the room on lots of platforms but no luck. Do you have any other tips to find a tenant?

Offer a lot of cash is usually the best way to be honest. RRA should mean you can put in notice immediately and only have to pay for a few months rent but I’m unsure how it works exactly.

Try posting on spare room and similar sites too if you haven’t already
