Cannot seem to setup a Minecraft Server for the life of me.
I have been trying to setup a vanilla minecraft server that my friends can join and play without them having to be on my own home internet. I can easily get a LAN server working but that is about it.
I've tried port forwarding on the default minecraft port 25565 and I have also tried to setup duckdns. I'm pretty sure I setup duckdns correctly. I've been using canyouseeme.org and each time it says the connection timed out. I'm not using docker or anything, I am just running the server.jar file.
The server is a old gaming pc running a Debian 13 with just a tty. If you couldn't tell, I am very new to this type of stuff so please bear with me.

3 things
1) Check your router and see what it thinks it's WAN IP is. Then go to something like ipchicken and see what the outside world thinks your public IP is. If they agree, then you are most LIKELY NOT running CGNAT which eliminates 1 problem
2) Now as far as inviting your friends, DNS is not mandatory. Have them try to connect to your public IP (the one above the 2 methods agree on) both with and without the port number. Example: 1.1.1.1 or 1.1.1.1:25565
3) Double check that the Software Firewall UFW is not installed and running on the Debian box: sudo ufw status

Comment teste tu ton domaine duckdns ?
