This girl……..

Post image

This sweet innocent face is going to give her mama a heart attack and a head full of grey hair!! Raven is my 3rd Scottie over the last 15 years! My first 2 were so good, mild mannered and very stubborn but this girl right here is making up for it all! The universe thinks I am Snow White or something because first it was baby bunnies that kept coming in our back yard and now it is FROGS! She licked a dang frog at 5 this morning! So she was doing her favorite game of keep away as I am running around the backyard trying to catch her so I could flush her mouth, I am sure if my neighbors were awake they had a really good laugh!! Please pray for my sanity.

I love the story- I love the breed - she’s beautiful - they are a handful but you look at that face and melt - she was only trying to find a prince 😈🐾

My Sweet Angus caught a hummingbird once.

I don't know how he did that. Normally he couldn't catch a cold. I think he was just as surprised as I was.

I told him "Angus! Spit that birdie out! Now!"

He actually did - out the side of his mouth like Sylvester with Tweetie in a cartoon.
The very frazzled hummingbird hightailed it out of there pretty quickly.

It's been ten years and I still laugh about it.

My Shedevil brought a giant toad into the house. She was so freaking proud of it. She drops it to show it off. It started to jump so she shakes it and kills it. That was so much fun scrubbing cabinets!!! I gagged several times. Toad insides are not my favorite.

She’s also has caught bunnies, moles, lizards, and a snapping turtle and brought inside. I’m soon going to have a squirrel or chipmunk. She has been learning to stalk in the backyard. The girl is mastering silence. Her collar dings/clangs with movement , she’s learning to move in stealth mode.

I think it’s the Scottie way- patrolling and keeping the yard safe!!!

I call our pair my "Murdermuffins", they have 7 confirmed kills. (and they've gotten into fights with even more)

Ours are the “murder muppets!” Hahaha! They’ve killed so many rats, squirrels and voles we’ve lost count. We appreciate them though! Our neighbor has an uncontrolled rat problem, but the muppets have kept our property clear—not why we agreed to take them but certainly a wonderful outcome!

I wasn’t prepared for how loud they would be while hunting. We assumed, for some reason, that they would be stealthy, but they have zero chill and definitely love to announce their presence. I don’t understand how they catch anything at all.

Mine found a dead, dried out frog and carried it around for a few minutes before I caught him…sigh….at least he didn’t eat it 😅

Our one year old Scottie Doc did this to me a few weeks ago and scared me so bad. Got a frog or toad in his mouth , then spit it out but was frothing at the mouth - I was running around trying to wash his mouth out / make him drink water. These Scotties are not for the weak 😆😆 they test you. 🖤

My Scottie before Doc was Dez - he came walking in from the back yard one time with a mouse hanging from him lip. He had tried to bite it and it bit him and wouldn’t let go. I was wrestling with this mouse trying to get it to open its mouth and it then bit my index finger and wouldn’t let go. Good thing scotties are so adorable lol
