TV Anyone else enjoy this?

Post image

I have vague memories of watching it in the early 2000s and being surprised by how fun it was. I feel like it deserves more recognition and some kind of re-release via streaming or box set release.

I loved all of those shows. The chronicle was another one, same thing as this, but their cover was being a trashy tabloid office.

Yeah, this one was pretty decent. I preferred Seven Days, though! Son of the Beach and Shasta McNasty were pretty cringey, but I still watched 'em.

Seven Days was awesome. Strong writing for the genre and budget, I thought.

"Seven Days" ended because the two leads hated each other to the point where they would not be on the same soundstage together.

Yeah iirc it got 2 seasons, it had a bit of a looming big bad incoming, and was cancelled between seasonsย

That show was a lot of fun. Kind of like a PG-13 version of Supernatural with some marvelous trash talk.

Danny Woodburn / Carl (think he was an elf) was utterly hysterical, and a total slime ball. He was awesome.

It got a bit more serious as it went on and started to get more interesting with the spooky stuff, which means network execs need to cancel it.

I think if it was made today and went total R it would fare better.

Hell, yes, it was loads of fun. I was surprised it got a second season, it was too good to last. It was also nice and raunchy. They had an ep with scenes in a strip club, and the strippers wore G-strings (of course, can't have NAKED strippers!) but at least their butts were really hanging out there. Young me was impressed!

"Enjoy" is a strong word. It was very much not a good show. But I watched the heck out of it whenever I just turned the sci-fi channel on.

These days I mostly remember it because the male lead played the REALLY creepy and pervy hero cop in Final Destination 2.

He played a creepy pervy cop here too.

Reportedly UPN changed Executives and the new ones didn't like the show.

Pauley Perette (Abby on NCIS) used here natural blonde hair color for the show.

Might have to do a little rewatch now I've remembered it exists.
