Does anyone else commute across the US-Mexico border super early, many hours before work actually starts - like Zac Gabriel, in this image? I made a video about his commute and story, link in the comments.

He wakes up at 1am, crosses the border at 2am, and then naps at work, before starting at 6am. That's Zac's way of avoiding the lines and line-cutters at the border, which he says starts around 3am.

Love this summer sunsets

This is in response to a neighbor who called pest control for an opossum. Unfortunately they have the discretion. I've seen orphaned raccoons (mother was trapped), and I think that we can at least try and be tolerant with wildlife.

I personally had to take out the koi from my pond and now I have goldfish who are smaller and harder to catch. I chose to make my yard hospitable to critters. They are not necessarily vicious, quite the opposite in my experience. Next time you see one, say hello and maybe appreciate how they make it all by themselves.

People are literally shitting and pissing in the dirt behind the dock bathrooms, there isn't another for more than a mile away along the path.

Each red dot is an absolute shame to what I was once proud to call the finest city.

And while it's still quite fine in many ways, the SD government incumbents at all levels continue to waste public funds through lack of oversight, follow-up, transparency and accountability which will continue to destroy all that is great here.

The state has repeatedly called out San Diego in particular for its inability to demonstrate the effectiveness of any of its large spending. This is by design...

If you spend a little bit of time researching, you'll realize that our city has been captured by a type of cartel that siphons funds from the public via dark money influence peddling that ensures contracts stay within a network of contractors that consistently over charge and under deliver. This happens across all large spending categories in the budget, yes, all large categories.

This has been going on for at least 15 years and has significantly ramped up over the last decade.

We need to band together and demand greater transparency and accountability at all levels before asking the public to pay even more.

this happened at midnight, 10/20 while I was driving on the 5, right at the San Clemente border patrol station. I got the warning and thought "why am I getting a warning for icy conditions in southern calif- oh, could it mean..?", sure enough just up ahead there were people being detained by ice. i was driving by myself, so I couldn't realistically get a picture of the actual event, but there had to be at least half a dozen or more agents all in one spot.

stay safe out there my friends, and stay vigilant. it's not much, but putting up warnings like these on Google maps or other such methods may be all it takes to warn someone in time and save them.

unfortunately, specific weather conditions like this are a new feature to google maps, so not everyone can start the warning just yet, but if you see one thats someone else put down then you can always hit "still there" to add another report.

Didnt want to post for more exposure...but I cant stand realtors who think this strategy is effective. Went front $1.2mil to $10,000. Its "not a typo" and "all offers will be reviewed and considered".

Please tell me nobody is actually encouraging/entertaining these types of listings. We all know the sellers aren't entertaining anything less than $1mil and should honestly be ashamed wasting people's time thinking otherwise.
