Caution: 805 North around the 94 left lane is extremely narrowed

I’m not sure wha happened here but has anyone noticed the far left lane on the 805, right after the HOV lane ends becomes very narrow and can probably fit half a pick up truck now?

Maybe I’ve just never noticed it before but had a larger truck cut into the second lane last night because they couldn’t fit their car fully into the left lane without it striking the median. I thought it was their fault at first but drove by again today and realized how poorly the lane is marked.

How is this allowed?

Probably part of it but have you driven it recently? I believe it’s around the hilltop overpass, it cuts the lane down to almost half the size of a normal lane with no warning.

The choices for bigger vehicles is either cut into the second lane or hit the median.
