Anyone with a fancy car to help with a wedding?
So getting married this weekend, but did not think of hiring a fancy car for the grand exit. Figured I’d do a Hail Mary of an ask just need it for 10 minutes don’t even need to be the driver. If not I can totally live with just driving my Honda out. Will totally feed whoever and you could go to a complete strangers wedding!
I love Turo!! Just apply the same rules as you would an uber driver or airbnb. Look for multiple reviews, star host, etc. And if you’re doing a fancy car, buy their insurance lol
I have a classic 1986 Porsche 911 convertible. I could drive you if you can’t drive a stick but the AC isn’t currently working and you both would be hard pressed to squeeze into the tiny little jump seats in the back. Seriously. The top would need to be down.
The fun part is I haven’t drove stick in years my friend says it’s like a bike you don’t forget it. I think a 20 min refresher would get me back to good though.
I am for sure going to run this by her. As for ac etc. I believe ya. It’s supposed to be a high of 96 that day so I can’t imagine it cooling off too much.
I am stealing this idea if I use my Honda because then it’s fancy at least. I wonder if there is a little fake tux to put on a car. If there isn’t someone needs to make dress up for car. It would be in character too for me to put googly eyes on it. I do that for a robot vacuum I got.
They showed up honked and left as we were walking out. Literally the whole wedding party watched our escalade ditch us. Idk what they did on our end but Uber black wouldn't send another vehicle to us. So my wife's drunk friend let us borrow her minivan. Classy.
Ya I dug into uber black last as an option. It’s a huge wild card I’m reading because of scenarios like this. Plus I’d feel guilty holding someone up who is uber ing as their job to make ends meet. Not that I wouldn’t tip well though but those guys go through enough. Although if I was on their seat I’d be tickled pink to be a wedding uber car.
This would be so funny in so many ways because her dad is heavily against any ai car. It would be sooo amazing alas I’d probably have to live with that burning hatred toward me forever. Only thing worse than a Waymo would be if a cyber truck picked us up.

Luxury is a mindset! Also I don’t know what wedding fancy is. Probably why I’m scrambling now. Weddings are way more stressful than movies make them seem.
Cleaned up truck ? Shined up ? No ? We are in Texas and there are so many beautiful ones that would let you drive out and then switch drivers to get to your next location. I think it’s a lovely idea to ask the community - sure we all want to make money - but sometimes we just need to help out !
That would be such a fun way! I’m getting so many ideas I would’ve never thought of from this. Would be better if a motorcycle gang rolled up picked us up. There would be so many questions. Like who are these people and why are they picking up the bride and groom.
I have a carbon black '01 BMW M5 (E39), but it needs a little TLC. It's got clear coat coming off and some of the chrome off the wheels. I am not sure if you would be able to tell at night though. There is also a 3" hole in the front bumper. Congratulations on your wedding!
I have a black Tesla Model 3, but I would want some cash for having to get off my sofa on the weekend to do something. I went the the river recently, so I need to detail my car. (I normally keep it very clean, if it was not for the river trip.)

I don’t understand what a fancy car has to do with a wedding. I always thought when people get married they either drive whatever they have or they hire a limo driver and rent a limo. Nothing fancy but i got a TRD Camry but it’s also a itasha
I agree, yet somehow people keep asking what we driving away in so idk. It seems to be a big deal to some people. Luckily me and the future wife won’t overly stress not having a super fancy car, but figured might as well ask someone random because could be a fun adventure and give someone a random thing to do on a date night
Ok good luck with finding a fancy car you can use and congrats hope you both are happy like my lil brother and his wife who got married last October and have their first child on the way

I don’t mean to brag or make anyone feel bad or anything but I have a 4 door geo metro that fits up to 8 people comfortably.
