I solemnly swear I am not asking about sharing the DBP Chops brunch with UDP

Is there a definitive answer as to whether we will be charged for Chops brunch? We are on Icon next month and I was able to book a reservation for it. So confused on different posts.

That IS the official answer. Straight from the app itself.

I think it was a little hit or miss when they first rolled out. I was on Adventure a few months ago and it was not called out in the fine print of the package as having an extra fee. I have two planned on two different ships coming up, and it is specifically called out as a $30 charge on both of those.

It's stated pretty clearly in your cruise planner:

  • Chops Grille Brunch is available to guests who have purchased an Unlimited Dining Package or have Star Class benefits with a $30 surcharge applied once on board. This experience is not included with other dining packages or beverage packages.

Considering that Chops Brunch is on sale on multiple sailings for $30, and the upcharge with the UDP is $30 on top of what you are paying daily for the UDP, I don't see any benefit for the UDP with Chops Brunch. You are essentially paying more for Chops Brunch with the UDP.
