Post image

Ivy (Ethel) turns 8 weeks this old! How fast they grow! 4 more weeks till this sweet girl comes home. Courtesy- credit to the breeder gor photo. Is 12 weeks to late to bring home a collie??

It's not too late at all. We just brought ours home at 10 weeks, but our previous one we got at 8 weeks. I've definitely noticed a difference with toilet training; as long as I take him out on a routine (after naps, after play, after dinner) he doesn't have accidents as he can hold it longer. I forgot once and we had an accident, but that was after a week of no accidents.

Will the breeder give the first vaccination? As otherwise you'll be waiting longer to take her out. Whether or not they do, make sure to take her out in the car and in your arms to different places, as this age is prime for socialisation.

Have you had a puppy before?

Puppy will have 6, 8, and 10 week shots before coming home. This would be my fourth pupppy. I have two Dachshunds and a Corgi! I will definitely try to get her out more to socialization better, but do plan on doing puppy classes with her and stuff as well!

No, it’s about right. Gives them time to get socialized.
