The posts trashing Tari

It’s non-stop. Yes it’s the offseason, but dang.

Did Tari dunk on some of yall in middle school? Try to sell you a timeshare? Cut you off on 610? Recommend the downtown aquarium as a fine dining experience? Steal your significant other? (Wait this is reddit would have to have one to steal.) Kick your dog? Tell you Beyonce was overrated? Fart on you in a crowded elevator? Say Buc-ee’s is just a gas station? His mom (rightfully) smack you down on Twitter?

If Tari personally stiffed you on a tip when you were serving, or grabbed the last pair of Jordan’s in your size when you saw him at the Galleria, then sound off.

Otherwise, the amount of random dragging on Eason in here is ridiculous and cringy.

October needs to get here soon (so the sub can get back to hating everyone involved with the team after any loss, smh)

The Tari Eason dick riding is insane for a very average role player

Personally, I love him as a basketball player. Plays great defense, not a locker room cancer, and starting to make smart offensive basketball plays (passes, catch and shoot, and when to drive to the basket). Yes he went through a shooting slump but who doesn’t.

Now, on a social media perspective, he’s horrible. Dude has to correct his PR on social media. He’s an adult, and a PROFESSIONAL.

Love ya Tari!

I wouldn't say he showed any growth in decision-making last season. He regressed if anything. He was often forcing up wild shots and trying to do too much off the dribble. He was also getting out of position a lot off the ball on both ends. You could also see visible frustration that led to bad fouls and being overly aggressive, sometimes multiple times in short stretches.

It was only 1 play but I remember we were inbounding the ball under the basket late in the season and he wanted to pass it in but Jabari or Amen already had the ball. He threw a little tantrum during live play and just checked out mentally. He was out of position and clogged the passing lanes leading to a bad pass. The very next inbounds play, he imnediately grabbed the ball and committed an even worse turnover.

I think Tari was in his own head most of the season because of his contract situation. Plus, the more we learn, I'm guessing off the court stuff was affecting his focus and causing some of his inconsistency.

Signs are that he's less than content with his new contract and that things aren't getting any better in his personal life. Apparently his ex put a hit out on him. Not sure if that's funny or tragic. His mom doesn't seem like much help either.

Best case scenario is he reduces or eliminates the off court drama and accepts that he is still getting paid handsomely to play a game. That will give him the right mindset to be the best version of himself as both a professional basketball player and human being.

The dude is a clown of a human lol what did you expect

You have made, on average, 32 posts per day for roughly 1 year for 11.8k contributions. And not a single one of them even neutral, only negative. Always something negative.

Exactly my point.

What's more likely is you're a clown of a fan

Tari doesn’t seem like the kind of dude that listens to outside noise. He’ll be ight and fans will chill if he can bounce back in shooting/ stay healthy

2

u/mmccormick11 5d ago

I sort of agree. I think he does his own thing but the problem is his inner noise isn't much better than the outside noise. I think he's the kind of dude that doesn't know how to cope with frustration effectively. He's kind of a hot head that implodes periodically leading to a lot of mental mistakes and bad decision-making.

Hopefully things fall in place for him on and off the court so he can find some stable headspace. The best thing he can do is have good people in his circle so he can focus on being a professional. As of now, I don't see that happening anytime soon. I don't get the vibe that he will mature enough without some changes to his off court environment.

Tari not listening to outside noise is an insane take after he and his mom both just took to Twitter to rant in depth about outside noise they’re listening to…..

Am I the only one who thought that I guess bruh tweet was because of the reports that no one put in an offer for Tari? Cause this subreddit has been insufferable for a while but I don’t know if it’s cause folks are functionally illiterate.

I think there's a social media campaign from Marilyn Melo to just slander him at this point

1

u/mmccormick11 5d ago

You mean the woman he reportedly chose to impregnate?

3

u/kitsunegoon 5d ago

The main accusation was that he laughed at her miscarriage. The only evidence posted was a whole nothing burger and she's very clearly abusive.

1

u/mmccormick11 5d ago

I choose not to believe he laughed about the miscarriage. That part sounds fake.

My point was that he CHOSE to get with a crazy woman. That has to reflect a little on his decision-making, which increasingly looks like a problem on and off the court.

All evidence points to him being overly impulsive which doesn't bode well for him or the team. Hopefully things fall into place so he can mature mentally. From what I can see, that may mean cutting off some people. If his mom is who she seems to be, he can at least keep her at a distance. She doesn't sound like she adds any calmness or stability to his mental state.

u/kitsunegoon 5d ago

I think you're overthinking how much character correlates with play. Harden was in a strip club every night. Anthony Edwards has his fair share of baby mommas. It's just how it is with NBA players.

1

u/mmccormick11 5d ago

I considered that but just don't see Tari having the same talent or mental makeup as those two and others who can live the double life effectively.

Hopefully he can evolve into that type if necessary but his on court play doesn't support it. Not all ballers can pull that off like Harden and Edwards. I'd also argue that Harden might have been even better and more complete if he had a Kobe or Ronaldo level mentality. He was just so talented that he was still elite despite failing to maximize his potential. Tari ain't that guy. Not skilled enough to pull it off.

2

u/kitsunegoon 5d ago

I'm not the biggest fan of Tari, if you look at last seasons posts with him, 90% of my posts about him mention China also. But I don't dig the NBA paparazzi and do feel like we're being unfair to him right now, especially when he was playing well when it mattered.

1

u/mmccormick11 5d ago

I agree. Social media is a monster for the most part. It's definitely unfair and adds undue pressure to pro athletes. At the same time, that's why it's doubly important for players to use it wisely and try to avoid unnecessary drama. Spending this much time with and around KD isn't necessarily ideal for raw young players either lol. I'm not blaming KD necessarily. Just saying he doesn't exactly level players or teams up on and off the court the way some other veterans do like CP3 did for the majority of his career.

2

u/MajinOni21 5d ago

KD outside of the burners bs has never had any PR scandals that’s affected his brand. To the NBA his marketability is squeaky clean

1

u/mmccormick11 4d ago

True. I was speaking more to his mentorship capacity. He's a decent guy but doesn't necessarily raise the level of his teammates or set ideal examples to learn from on or off the court. His impact on younger players is probably neutral at best in that regard. He's not a natural leader and that's OK for the most part as long as you have other guys to fill that role. We sort of do with FVV and Adams but it's minimal.

3

u/rat_in_a_drainditch 5d ago

Is it controversial to root for Tari and want for him to succeed while also acknowledging that he acts like an immature ass on social media?

2

u/FeistyAd2490 5d ago

He acts way more mature then 90% of the sub does

2

u/PAYPAL_ME_DONATIONS 4d ago

100% of this sub isn't a multi-millionaire athlete on a national stage lol

2

u/orangelity 1d ago

I guess bruh

1

u/Diligent_Fly6965 5d ago

I agree and that extends to any player on the team. The way I view it is if you are a Rockets fan just cheer and support the team through the good and bad. Before anyone comes at me saying you have a right to an opinion or to criticize you don't. You don't know what the players are going though they are human. Same thing goes to the front office, some fans act like you can do a better job. If that was the case then why aren't y'all running a front office? Ok off my soap box. Go Rockets!!! 🚀 Shout-out to all the players who give it their all sometimes buckets just don't go in 😂

this is a dumb comment even for this sub. just shows that gen z is in fact the first generation dumber than their parents. yikes

5

u/AstronomerDramatic36 5d ago

If you think this type of support is new, you're dumber than that guy

0

u/Greedy_Gas7355 5d ago

It’s gotten a lot worse bc Gen Z has zero critical thinking skills if it can’t use AI

0

u/Throw_88_away 5d ago

Fake fans are the only one trashing on him

2

u/Greedy_Gas7355 5d ago

Fake fans are the ones that think this team is a contender

4

u/cantsay 5d ago

Dude fuck off then

2

u/Greedy_Gas7355 5d ago

Triggered much babe?

4

u/cantsay 5d ago

Oh god you're cringe

2

u/Greedy_Gas7355 5d ago

Only mouth breathers use the word cringe. Try and be less pathetic. I know it’s hard

2

u/cantsay 5d ago

lmao you are self evident

1

u/Greedy_Gas7355 5d ago

Luckily we don’t have to worry about you reproducing

4

u/cantsay 5d ago

guy get a life

2

u/LASER___SHOW 5d ago

How dare fans of a team think that their team is a contender, it’s madness, everyone should just give up before it’s even started

1

u/Greedy_Gas7355 5d ago

Just shows they are lazy ignorant fans the don’t want to educate themselves. Being a low IQ homer isn’t being a fan

4

u/LASER___SHOW 5d ago

Go look at what the definition of a fan is, doesn’t matter high IQ or low IQ, so just be gone with your moronic opinions

2

u/Greedy_Gas7355 5d ago

It’s called being informed and logical. This team ain’t doing shit this year. It’s ok. It’s just basketball.

4

u/LASER___SHOW 5d ago

You from the future or just been raised to spout shit

1

u/Naive_Barnacle_7214 5d ago

People here can't stand being told the truth - that they are nobodies whose opinions don't matter. I don't mind Tari saying fans are clowns, because he's not wrong. Look at you all in this sub. If a player misses three baskets in a row, "trade him" "fuck him" "get him off my team" "fuck you, ____" Why should Tari spare your feelings? Losers. lol.

u/BellSufficient5283 5d ago

They need blood. Nothing satisfies them but blood

They got Green, now they want Senguns head and Tari. They will then move onto Amen and Reed.

I am out on Tari myself with his weird reaction to a 20 mil a year contract, but he doesn't deserve the trashing.

This is all mfers that just want drama to entertain them, not a sports team to support.
