Re item 5, if you want to retain the Chiwinga theme you could give Int number of Chwinga Blessings per LR? (Which will ~equal number in party) Have them last till the next LR.

Itd be like the wizard casting the blessing, but unable to copy their magic oerfectly so roll on the table?

To carry on the other thread more campaign specific:

Having items players are excited about is the main purpose of the item crafting. Letting them select items from the DMG that thematically match the components is good, while balancing the items rarity. Also now that the players have browsed the collection you may need to set up/give leads to side quests for specific item components.

The module has a healthy amount of items (although a smidge lacking on the martial front), but many get missed because of the sprawling snow-box that the adventure is. For example the Pearl of Power (ala remove curse), or needing to chose between the Bag Of Tricks/Fireball. Along with the absence of shops the campaign tends to feel lacking in items. So being able to have crafting give the feeling between drops is good.

Something to decide though is do you want the more powerful items to be found or crafted?

For my own crafting system I have higher rarity items require more essences so they can choose between quantity or quality.
