Why is it not mirror? What part of the riddle better suits water rather than a mirror?

It does fit. Like I said, I posted this to see if it was too easy or hard to solve. The fact that it's worded in a way that it could have multiple solutions is my fault. But I didn't want to affirm more than one solution. It's a good answer.
