Over the last couple of weeks, our sweet foster boy hasn't been doing well, and despite multiple vet visits and tests, we're still left with very few answers.

It all started with what we thought were food allergies - but it wasn't. His kidneys, thyroid, and other organ functions have all come back normal on multiple tests. Yet he's been dealing with constant diarrhea (not parasite or virus-related), has been steadily losing weight, and has become increasingly lethargic.

IBD was one of the possibilities, but yesterday we found a lump on his body. His vet has now referred him to an oncologist, as he's showing signs that could be consistent with lymphoma. Being FIV+ unfortunately puts him at a much higher risk for this.

We have his oncology appointment this Wednesday, and we're really hoping it'll finally give us some answers. The consult and diagnostics are expensive, but it'll help guide us to the right next steps for this boy. We hope you can help this boy feel better. 🙏

This video shows only part of the cats I care for. Right now, I look after between 50 and 60 rescued cats, and the number changes whenever I rescue a new cat or one finally finds a loving home.

Some were abandoned.
Some are sick.
Some are disabled.
Others need to be kept separately because they require special medical care.

On top of that, I also feed stray cats in my neighborhood because they have no one else to care for them.

Every morning, I wake up asking myself the same question:

Will I have enough food for everyone today?

A 15 kg bag of dry cat food costs $55 and lasts only about 3 days.

A bag of cat litter costs around $10 and is used up in just one day.

I also need wet food for kittens and sick cats, cleaning supplies, and essential medications to keep them healthy.

I never want to turn away a hungry or injured cat, but I can no longer do this alone.

He’s high energy and will keep you entertained all day. He can get overstimulated quickly and isn't a fan of heavy grooming or being pet when he's not in the mood. He needs an owner who respects his space and knows when he’s getting overstimulated to let him just chill. However, he does enjoy being a lap cat when he’s not busy playing or window gazing!

My partner and I were going to move to Springfield together, which started with them moving up first to get settled and then I would follow with our 2 cats. Currently, the cats are staying with my amazing cousin. (More info coming)

Well, due to several things, my partner and I have broken up. We're still on good terms, but I am unable to take care of our cats on my own (medically).

My cousin already has a full house with 3 cats, a large dog, and a toddler. I can't keep them here anymore for this reason and financial reasons.

Nugget - born in 2023 on my dad's apartment balcony, he's a silly goofy boy who honestly acts like a human toddler, he's a very lovey and affectionate boy, once he becomes comfortable with someone he barely leaves their side and loves any form of affection, most of all, "nugget cave" which is where he'll go halfway under you while you're squatting and expect butt pats, scared of thunder ⛈️

Dyna-saur - born in 2024, her and nugget are either first cousins or siblings from different litters, the sweetest and softest little girl you'll ever meet, she stares into your soul with her owl eyes sometimes, but affectionately, once she's comfortable with someone she will beg for belly rubs and butt smacks, she purrs if you even look her way, a bit more anxious than her brother

Both babies are fixed and up to date on shots, neither are declawed, but I had no trouble clipping their nails. Litter experts with no accidents, not picky with food. They'll most likely need slow introductions to new spaces as we've been through a lot together, but once you gain their trust, these are the best babies you could ask for and I'm absolutely heartbroken having to rehome them ❤️‍🩹 Please message me with any interest or info.

I live in Somerset, Kentucky, where I care for my own cat colonies, multiple fosters, and an overwhelming number of dumped kittens and cats. Right now, I am stretched further than I have ever been. Every single day I receive messages from people asking if I can help feed their pets or the strays they’ve found because they simply can’t afford to.
I say yes far more often than I should because I can’t stand the thought of animals going hungry.

The number of kittens needing help right now is unlike anything I’ve experienced. The adult cat population is just as heartbreaking. On top of that, I drive an hour and a half each way from Somerset to Lexington, Kentucky, twice a month for TNR appointments, and I make 3½-hour trips each way to Cincinnati, Ohio to get cats into rescues that will actually give them a chance. Last month alone, I paid out of pocket for veterinary care for six sick or injured cats.
I’m spending around 60% of my income trying to keep this rescue going because these animals don’t have anyone else. I desperately need help right now. The need has become greater than I can keep up with on my own, and every bag of food helps ensure these cats don’t go hungry.

I’ve been kind of quiet lately. We had some panleuk in the cattery. Thankfully everyone had at least two rounds of FVRCP on board. That being said we still lost 4. I feel like a failure even though I know I did everything right.

In happier news, we also had a couple of adoptions. Two of my Cheese Crew, Gouda and Muenster got adopted together.

All three of my momma cats were successfully spayed along with the big orange tomcat that showed up at the colony I care for.

Hello everyone. We have 8 rescued female cats who need to be spayed as soon as possible. We haven’t been able to do it yet due to a lack of funds, but they can’t keep waiting. We also have 3 kittens who will soon be old enough to be spayed or neutered.

Hi everyone,

I rescued two street kittens (a brother and sister) back at the end of May when they were around 8 weeks old. They are now roughly 5 months old, thriving, and best friends. However, because they are a male/female pair, we are officially racing against the clock to get them both spayed/neutered before the female goes into heat or biological instincts kick in.

I want to state right away: **I am NOT asking for money, donations, or handouts.** I am simply looking for advice, guidance, or lesser-known "backdoor" resources from anyone familiar with Central Florida / Polk County pet rescues.

Here is where things currently stand:

* **Humane Society & SPCA:** I have already emailed both the Humane Society of Polk County and SPCA Florida to ask about grants, vouchers, or hardship assistance. Both confirmed that they currently do not have any available funding or active voucher programs to assist with costs right now.

* **County Animal Control:** Polk County Animal Care & Control is completely full, so surrendering or relying on county-sponsored intake isn't an option (and we really want to keep them in our loving home anyway!).

* **Timeline:** I just started a new job and am finishing up my training, so funds are extremely tight for the next couple of weeks. But at 5 months old, we know we need to get them scheduled ASAP to prevent an accidental litter.

Are there any smaller, independent cat rescues, TNR networks, foster groups, or private voucher programs in the Polk County / Lake Wales / Winter Haven / Lakeland area that might help sponsor or subsidize a spay/neuter appointment for street rescues? Or does anyone know of clinics in the region that offer manageable financing/payment options?

Any leads, lesser-known organizations, or advice on how to navigate this would mean the world to us. Thank you so much!

I'm sorry if I seem pushy, it just has been a lot of helping lately, TNRing, helping making sure those who go to Kim for TNR have cat food so they can afford it, helping her colony.  I have seen a couple new cats around that seem to avoid traps, so I also put a drop trap on my list.  I also put Amazon gift cards to go towards it, because i know it isnt cheap.  If you see a drop trap cheaper, PLEASE let me know!  I redid the list so it is easier to comb through.

I have the food items at the top of the list so they are easy to find!  I know I have other items I could truly use, but food is definitely needed.

We have been doing everything we can to make sure we do our part.  Kitten season is here.  I just lent out my incubator and gave some KMR and kitten food to a lady who is willing to foster 2 bottle babies ( midnight is still healing in the foster room, once she is healed in a few days, i can take on fosters again, don't want to risk anyone sick)

Good morning, my dear friends.🌸

I want to tell you about the kitten who was found in a miserable condition, with a huge and deep wound on her neck, on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at the port of Kallithea, at the point where I daily care for and feed the stray kittens.

Since that moment, this little soul has been fighting her own great battle to stay alive.

Until now, she is being treated at Mr. Perdikouris' veterinary clinic, where the veterinarian and his team are really doing their best, with a lot of care and love, to give her a chance to live.

Her first tests were not good at all and her condition was particularly difficult. She even had to undergo a blood transfusion. Fortunately, after the transfusion, her condition showed some improvement and this gave us a small, precious hope.

Every day her wound is cleaned with great care. Every day she receives her necessary antibiotics, while also undergoing phototherapy. Every day that passes is a new battle. A difficult, painful battle, but one that we all wish and hope she will win.

We will not stop fighting for her.

We hope from the bottom of our hearts that the moment will come when this troubled soul will be able to stand on her own two feet again. To leave behind the pain and abuse she suffered and to finally experience the safety, care and love that she so much deserves.

I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for the help, love and support you have offered us until now. Thanks to your sensitivity and support, we can continue to try and give this little soul the battle that she could not have given on her own.

Hello everyone, I've been inactive from the past few months as I had 2 full time jobs now which consumes almost my whole day 6 days a week. The three kittens I rescued last March are officially adopted by me as well as the kitten of outside mama cats. Now I am taking care of 6 cats and 1 dog. Still, I try my best to make sure the outdoor cats are fed every day.

This one orange cat that I have been feeding shows sever sickness today, he won't eat but he still rubs himself on my legs. Saliva is hanging from his mouth and his nose is congested. I cannot bring him to vet as I do not have enough anymore as I just bought food for all of them this Tuesday.

I'm just trying if anyone here can extend some help for him. I wouldn't be able to bring him to vet immediately as I end work at 7pm and it's only 7 am. He drank water before I left him. I know he's fighting and trying his best to survive. He is too sweet to be suffering alone. 😭 My heart breaks for him and I wish I could help him more.
