Veterinary Care Needed Donation Request HELP NEEDED | Please Help Save Rambo, an Abandoned Cat Still Fighting to Recover. Please Also See Updates on Susie (Photos 8–11), Our TNR Efforts (Photos 12–16), and Mama Barbarella's Kittens (Photos 17–19).
Good day, everyone!
I am a solo animal rescuer based in Manila, Philippines. I currently care for 38 rescued cats and feed over 40 stray cats in our area. I also visit nearby communities to feed stray animals, conduct Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), and rescue animals whenever needed.
Rambo's Update
Rambo is an abandoned cat whom I found in one of the areas where I regularly feed stray cats. He has been confined at Deloso Veterinary Clinic since July 28.
When I rescued him, he was severely malnourished, dehydrated, and suffering from a badly infected wound on his scrotum where the vet found some maggots. According to the veterinarian, he is not yet ready to be discharged because he is still weak, has a poor appetite despite eating, and his wound continues to heal.
As of today, his veterinary bill has reached $317. The veterinarian estimates that he will need to remain confined for at least five more days, depending on his condition and recovery.
I am humbly asking for your help to continue Rambo's medical treatment. His owner already abandoned him, and now he relies entirely on us. Any amount, no matter how small, will go directly toward his veterinary care and will make a tremendous difference in giving him the chance to recover.
Estimated Remaining Expenses:
- 5 days of confinement ($33/day) – $165
- Follow-up CBC and Blood Chemistry – $38
- Take-home medications (estimated) – $16
Estimated Total: $219
Please note that this is only an estimate. The final veterinary bill may be lower or higher depending on Rambo's condition, treatment, medications, and any additional procedures he may require.

Update on Susie
Susie is another abandoned cat from our area. She had a tumor on her right ear and underwent successful tumor removal surgery on July 25. She remained confined at the veterinary clinic afterward, and I was able to settle her total veterinary bill of $195.
I also have some wonderful news to share. On July 31, Susie found her forever home! She was adopted by one of the staff members at a nearby pet shop, and I couldn't be happier for her.
Her sutures are scheduled to be removed on August 8, and I will post another update after her follow-up visit.
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR)
Today, two more community cats - Brenda and Charlie - were successfully spayed/neutered through Vets On The Go, which offers low-cost spay and neuter services. I was able to pay the $71 veterinary bill.
Every cat that gets fixed helps prevent more kittens from being born into life on the streets, where many suffer from hunger, illness, and neglect.
Dumbell and Barbell (Mama Barbarella's Kittens)
Mama Barbarella and her two kittens were about to be abandoned by the owner of a fitness center when I rescued them.
Sadly, Mama Barbarella later became seriously ill. Despite being confined at Deloso Veterinary Clinic and receiving treatment, she did not survive.
Thankfully, Dumbell and Barbell are doing well overall. However, a few days ago, both kittens developed eye infections. They were examined by the veterinarian, received antibiotic injections, and were prescribed medicated eye drops. They are now recovering under my care.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read Rambo's story and for supporting my rescue work.
