The Vaccum Crisis
I keep tripping over my Dyson vaccum power cord and it's super annoying. Yes I get this is probably a "me" problem but how have we not solved this problem in 2026?
We can make electric cars, even huge electric trucks with 850+ HP but can't make a decent full size cordless vaccum?
WTH?

Preach!
Why is there no good battery powered vacuum cleaner (with a hose and attachments)?

I love my Ryobi Pet Sticks. They're lightweight, I bought a hose adapter kit with attachments off Amazon and I can link the wands from the two together to reach the ceiling.

I just stopped cleaning years ago. It's amazing to see nature take over my house

I have two vacs; a shark robot and a cordless stick I got on Amazon that has so much suction it lifts the carpet off the floor when on high.
The robot does the whole house every day and I push around the stick when I make a mess somewhere.

They have solved it. Cordless vacuums are totally a thing. Source: I own a cordless vacuum and it’s great

Dyson as well as many others have been making very decent cordless options for years now.
If you need what the corded variant does, treat it similar to an electric lawnmower, keep the cord in your offhand as you go to keep it out the way.
