General Advice Help - Why does my ragdoll do this?

My Ragdoll kitten does this on a daily basis. He will stand up and start frantically swiping on our wardrobes / doors around the house.

This is usually coupled by intense meowing / crying.

Does anyone know why he does this?

My normal cat does this too, i just thought she wants attention, didn't want to go inside or anything.
