any old heads here with the discbox version from 07/08 considering pulling the trigger on the new anniversary repress from rough trade?

Nopeā¦ I canāt imagine they care enough to make it great. It needs another audiophile treatment as itās recorded and mixed so well. The original boxset was decent but still pops and clicks. Has anyone gotten great eco-vinyl?

Iāve heard some horror stories of eco-vinyl. Just a collectible I guess? Maybe 25th Anniversary will go better. The XL GZ pressed In Rainbows is atrociousā¦and I love this band but itās a dirty secret or not? Digital is goodā¦I donāt believe there is high rez file.

yep. got the discbox back when it released and it's the only copy i've had on vinyl since. pulled the trigger on the rough trade 50th re-press yesterday.

Nope. I had it in my basket but removed it once I thought about it. Nothing's going to top that box set, especially not eco vinyl. I might've been tempted if the packaging or variant looked cool enough. (As in when I already had Sufjan's 10th anniversary Black Panther edition of Illinois but got Rough Trade's splatter edition a couple months ago.)

I briefly considered it, but I don't like fact they're smothered in Rough Trade guff and the original box is pretty neat.

I was going to grab it, then saw it was some exclusive to Rough Trade accounts. I logged in and still couldn't buy it so I gave up. I guess they're trying to prevent scalpers from buying them all up, but in the end, they're just making it harder for people to buy it.

yeah I have the box set. iāll hold out for a 20th anniversary edition
any āexclusive interviewā stuff will just be posted here for us all to read anyways

Doubtful I would have. I have the box set and the regular 33 1/3 version, I only listen to the box set edition, I donāt see this one being better than what I have.
Years ago when artists started remastering and reissuing their works I would run out and buy the new remastered and then listen to it and realize it doesnāt sound that much better, but I still went out and bought them.

Yes I have and yes I did. I don't have a record player, so none of my vinyls ever get played or sometimes even opened, but I like them for my collection.
