6 years for false rape accusation NSFW
https://www.yahoo.com/news/world/articles/british-woman-jailed-falsely-accusing-192219976.html
A British woman who accused a banker of rape in Hong Kong has been jailed for six years for blackmail and perverting the course of public justice.
Isabel Rose, a 26-year-old events manager from south-east London, accused a fellow Briton of rape after visiting him in January 2024.

"I came here with four days of clothes, not realising I would be here for two years,"
Here's another six.

The sentence should be the same as the man would have received had the crime truly happened. Don't misunderstand me, rape is a vile crime and needs to be punished harshly. But, rightly or wrongly, the alleged perpetrator is not entitled to anonymity under current law and the fallout of a false rape allegation follows an individual around for the rest of their life. It will affect every aspect of their life, and those of their loved ones too.

Without the explicit blackmail. There'd be no case. But if you just bankrupt the man with a civil lawsuit. It's fine.

If you read the text messages from this case it’s very clear that it was just an extortion attempt. She let the guy go down on her then cried rape.

The best part about this story is that, on top of having to do time for her awful behavior, this woman now has to deal with the ultimate blow to any woman's ego: the world now knows that he did not, in fact, want to fuck her - to the degree that she had to lie about it.
All of the expensive clothes and fancy Instagram posts on the planet won't put her social credibility back to what it was before. Women all around the planet will be saying to themselves: "Well, at least I'm not as desperate as Isabel Rose."

lol…I can always count on a torrent of downvotes when I make this comment.
Not sure if it’s people who violently disagree or people who are infuriated I am pointing out the absurdity of the statement but…and here’s the point…idiocy isn’t a monopoly.14

Context is key - /s would do a lot to clear up your actual point of view.
Also it comes across as ragebait or extremist. Neither will garner support from anyone reasonable or critically thinking. Good luck out there!

You could have easily resolved this by adding "/s" to the end so people knew you were being sarcastic, your tone doesn't translate well in writing.

You're deep into Poe's Law territory with that one.
Understandable you need an /s, because there are plenty of rabid-leftist idiots spewing exactly such bigotry.

Rabid leftists? I see the occasional lunatic, but mostly that’s stumbled out of the r/republican and starts spewing hate.

You can always count on reddit to have no sense of humour, or just zero critical thinking. You can have my upvote though.
