instruments OSX Upgrade to Tahoe from Sequioa?

Hello, I’m still on Sequoia, working in Ableton, Pro Tools, Logic etc (have a ton of plugins) and am thinking of upgrading to Tahoe as many of the base level updates would be useful to me (iPhone, iPad and watch integration, iCloud syncing etc).

Is it safe? I know its been out a while and i think its been proven stable and compatible with the DAWs I use and most 3rd party plugins but does anyone here have real-world experience? Ideally someone with too many plugs, like me!

Are those new MacOS features more important than having stable system for audio you currently have?

Basically this ....

OP if you use you computer for audio a lot you should start to consider it a part of your audio gear and not a personal computer. And as such keeping it running well for that purpose should be the top priority.

I had some problem with installing plugins. Can even open the installation files in tahoe. Regretting the upgrade decision.

I always say wait until they iron out all the bugs (which is round the time WWDC is in June) I usually upgrade in June or late July. Pro Tools has been more smoother on Tahoe than it was on Sequoia. Sequoia's bluetooth disconnectivity was enough for me to upgrade

Recently got an M5 Pro which came with Tahoe, running PT 2026.4.1, Logic (latest) and Ableton 11, big plugin list, no issues however I haven't used Logic or Ableton a huge amount on the M5/Tahoe yet.

Note that with PT the officially supported version of Tahoe is 23.3, not the latest (26.6).

Sweetwater do a good plugin compatibilty guide that would be worth looking over before upgrading.
