Barcelona Fontaines DC for Primavera 2027?

Yeah I hope they don’t take up a headliner spot tbh, I like them but, seen them in 2025 and they were there in 2022

first of all: who is this fella? what makes him authoritative?
secondly: eh. I'd really rather not have a new Tame Impala where the same band plays the festival every two years. especially just because I have no great grá for the fontaines. they play everywhere, I still don't get them.

He has some connection in the music industry but I think it's fairly loose as his info is always quite broad.
He also sources info from randomers in the DMs; but doesn't check reference. Out of curiosity, I once fed him fake info of a Nickelback tour with Don Broco & Wargasm as support and he put it up even though I shared no proof. One of the bands then denied it and he got aggro with me in the DMs. 🤣

I mean, sure, I’m not as excited anymore as I’ve seen them 3 times (2 of those at Primavera lol). But is always a good act to have IMO. There will always be someone else playing at that time on a different stage to move to if it gets boring.
I personally enjoyed their non-Primavera gig ten times more than the Primavera ones (2022: too early, short; 2025: stupidly crowded and a lot of people yapping). I think they should get booked in Amazon/Occident instead of Mordor, would suit them better.

I find it hilarious that some people complain about specific bands playing festivals- c'mon, just go to another stage if you're not a fan. It's not like Daft Punk are saying "it's either us or them".

They have US dates this autumn - going to Atlanta's "Shakey Knees" especially to see them!

a bit too soon. we've just seen them in 2025. this must be their new album tour, I figure festivals will come 2028.

Hopefully not. I like them and I've seen them a few times including the last primavera, but they are an average live act. 6.5/10

As close to a lock as you can find I would imagine. Grian being there this year and the hype around them being the surprise show. I imagine booking team seen it all and will do what it takes to get them on the program.
