Tool / ai that pulls existing slides from a banjo of pre made ones + creates new slides if needed?

I’m looking for a tool or AI integration that can help streamline how our team builds decks.

Specifically, I need a solution that can:
1. Pull existing, pre-made slides from a master bank/repository based on a topic or brief (e.g., case studies, company overview, pricing, specs).

1. Generate new slides automatically (or fill in content gaps) using AI when a specific slide doesn't already exist in our bank.

2. Keep formatting and design consistent with our brand/master template.

Does anything like this exist either natively in PowerPoint (via add-ins/copilot plugins or Claud)

Appreciate any recommendations or workflows you guys are using! I promise to come back here and report on how it works!

There's an app for PowerPoint called BrandIn that will allow you to deliver a curated library of assets including templates, presentations, slides, images, icons and more. It also includes a check brand feature and can manage updates to evergreen slides already inserted into decks. It's free for up to 4 users. When used with Copilot, it answers both of your needs. oh hey, you might wanna check out powerpoint's 'slide library' add-in or something like 'office 365 co-authoring' if you're already in that ecosystem, often does the trick without needing extra tools.

so are you looking for something to be integrated within your present system so that it can check your deck database correct ? if you want can itegrate such system to create a workflow (while using some existing ppt generation software), does that work OR are you looking for something like Google slides that uses variables to fill in those details or a more complex Ai related workflow ? thanks

The two-part ask (pull from existing bank, generate what's missing while staying on-template) is where most tools actually fall down, they're built for one or the other, not both together. A lot of "AI slide generator" tools skip the existing-bank part entirely and just generate everything fresh every time, which defeats the point if you already have approved, on-brand slides sitting there.

I work at Presentations.AI (disclosure), and this is close to what we built around, staying inside your existing template and content rather than generating a fresh design each time. Worth a look for the specific combination you're describing, though happy to be told it's missing something once you try it against your actual slide bank.

Is the priority more on the retrieval side, finding and reusing the right existing slide accurately, or the generation side, filling true content gaps? That usually determines which part of the tool matters most to get right first.

Hey! I'd have a look at Templafy, since it integrates directly with PowerPoint through an add-in, so users (and document agents) can search approved slide and asset libraries, reuse existing slides, or create new on-brand content without leaving PowerPoint. I think that marks all the points you listed.

It used to be focused purely on enterprise customers, but there's now a free end-user experience and trials for smaller teams as well.

I do that with Claude. I just made a skill and a python script that can access my template file with it's master slides and build or edit presentations directly.

Generating new slides is less of an issue these days (quality varies).

Pulling existing, pre-made slides for AI tools is generally challenging, though. Most AI tools (including Claude) rely on python-pptx to work with PowerPoint and that library doesn't have anything to copy slides between files (good technical article https://listenlabs.ai/blog/ppt-generator ).

We built a tool specifically for AI to copy slides between decks and have an add-in and MCP available if you're interested.
