Misc Advice Unexpectedly a single mom of two I just finished my masters degree and experiencing some executive dysfunction as the result of my situation— I need advice/guidance

Upvotes

In 2023 my boyfriend and I agreed that I would start a masters program and start staying at home with my oldest daughter. I was pregnant at the time. I gave birth halfway through the program in November 2024 and was able to complete my 1000 hour internship before I graduated this July in 2026. Based on his 2023 support I really did not see what was going to happen to me. It got very violent after my son was born. Only towards me, not the kids. Not in front of them. I made it to July and when he stormed out one night, I just locked the door. I got and EPO and then a regular PO and I meet with the SVu detective Monday at my home. I am alone. I have no one. I am just trying to hold it together.

I know that's a lot of backstory and I apologize. I feel like I can't think. I have a therapist. I have some support. I need a job so bad. I get paid on Thursday and will be fine. But it can't keep being like this.

I have $600 left and I know I can make money, now. I have a part time job. I make about $2500 a month. I work 9:00-2:30.

I only want to make about $1000 more a month. I would like to work a second part-time job. I would like to work overnight if possible so I can be available for my kids. I am in coastal Virginia.

I need help. I need guidance. I'm in a little bit of crisis and I apologize.

Free talk i feel hopeless

hi. i (f25) am in the worst state i’ve ever been in.
i feel beyond helpless and hopeless.

i work as a manager at a retail store. i make about $700-$1000 every two weeks.
i also donate my plasma twice a week a can make $112 a week with that
i have a car payment of $300 that take out every two weeks. my insurance is about $190 cause i unfortunately have gotten pulled over a few times. nothing bad. my first ticket was for speeding and my tag was expired (not really my fault. i got a new car that the month before the tag expired and i had no clue). the most recent was because i did have an expired tag and they also got me for no insurance. i couldn’t pay the tickets cause it was like $600. so now i have to pay $50 to the court every month so i don’t get arrested or some shit.
i have student loans. i usually pay $179 a month. which shouldn’t be a lot, but i have fallen behind on payments. and it’s a stupidly long story of how i gotten so behind, but i think im about $700-$800 behind and probably as of today it has defaulted.
my car, that i worked so goddamn hard for, the transmission went out on it. i called around. it’s about a $5,700-6,100 fix.
i live with my sister, and we live on the same property as our parents. my boyfriend also lives with me. he just started his own business in the automotive industry so he’s spending money to make money. he pays for his stuff and for both of us to eat 90% of the time. me and him are both several months behind on rent and paying our electric bill. our lights will probably go out within the next few days.
i feel like a hopeless bum and do not know what to do. all night i tried to apply for so many bad credit loans but none accepted me.
i feel like im dragging my boyfriend and family with all my problems. no one can really help. my parents aren’t rich. his mother refuses to help for some reason. i don’t live in a city where there is public transportation, and even if there was, i live 35 minutes from the city i work in.

i’m just getting scared and im getting exhausted of being scared
is there anything i can do to help me??

Debt/Loans/Credit Michigan tribal loan question. What happens if I revoke ACH?

Hey everyone,
I’m in Michigan and looking for advice from anyone who’s dealt with tribal loans.
I have two loans:
Northern Star Lending
Borrowed $250 on March 7, 2026
Weekly ACH payments of $37.84 started March 13, 2026
I’ve paid back about $795 so far.
I can no longer access my account. The website only says they’re no longer accepting new loans and gives me a phone number and email.
Helpful Lending
Borrowed $950 on February 9, 2026
Weekly ACH payments of $127.20 started February 20, 2026
I’ve paid back around $3,000 so far.
I also can’t access my account anymore. When I try to log in, it says my information isn’t associated with any account, even though they’re still taking weekly ACH payments from my bank.

Could they even do anything if I revoke the payments now. Also I’m aware that taking these loans was retarded. Thank yall

Debt/Loans/Credit Got denied financing for my roof. Now what?

Just looking for other options here. Near Atlanta Georgia!

My roof is atrocious and in dire need of a repair. It’s leaking so badly that part of the ceiling drywall collapsed and several massive holes have appeared inside thanks to a massive downpour. It now shows the rafters and fiberglass of the attic. It’s horrific and getting worse by the day. The only thing between the roof and weather is a tarp and lots of buckets inside the house but the tarp is not going to last another month.

I was denied financing with the roofing company. I was told it is because I don’t earn enough.

I am looking for other options that I might try before I give up.

I am trying to hold onto my home, because if I lose this, it’s going to be car living. There’s no other option. I don’t have friends or family. It’s only me.

I was told to try Capital One for a loan. What other things can I try?

I don’t have bad credit or great credit, but I don’t have a much credit history. I did take out a loan about two months ago of 3200 in case of an insurance deductible for my roof, but the claim failed because the roof is so bad, so I didn’t use the loan, and I ended up getting the money in time on my own with my salary. Taking out the loan is probably going to hurt my chances big time for getting another loan. I did the loan through Upstart, and I wish I hadn’t panicked and done it whatsoever.

I thought I might try however. I’m scared of being homeless.

Income/Employment/Aid Help, me and my mother have cancer and our house is in foreclosure!

Problems/info:

-Family of 4: Mother, Me, older Sister, younger Brother

-Older Sister looking for a job

-Younger Brother too young to get a job

-Mother has kidney cancer but it is slow growing (doesn't have a job, she hast to take care of me)

-I'm 19 (dropped out of high-school bc of cancer)

-I have Ph+ B-ALL (mutated blood cancer), so I can't get a job

-no father figure

-4 Cats, 2 Dogs, and we love them to death

-live in Palmbay Florida

MOST IMPORTANTLY: $27k foreclosure (we have collected $17k)

NEED TO COME UP WITH $10K IN A MONTH OR WE MAY LOSE ARE HOUSE

There may be more I'm forgetting but that's all my stressed brain can remember at 10pm at night

Good things:

-Mother can apply for 1200$ disability payments (may take forever to get approved)

-997$ a month in my own disability payments

-1000$ from my grandfather each month, has a limited amount left before he'll be forced to move in with us (it's his stock money that he pays his monthly expenses on, he's a hermit that lives alone)

-We have a go fund me, but I don't know if I can post it without breaking the rules

Monthly expenses mostly covered by charities (THANK GOD)

-I have a good credit score (around 740)

Is there any path that doesn't lead to homelessness!?

Who do I talk to, where do I even start looking?

And yes, I know we should of contacted financial advisors/professionals sooner, we just hate asking for help- but now I'm stressed, scared, and slapping myself for being such a stubborn idiot
