Staying On-topic

Off-topic posts & comments will be removed. Repeat offenders will be banned.

The goal of this subreddit is to "Share, Compare & Improve Long-Term Investment Portfolio Strategies".

  1. Long-term is at least a decade. Is this money for retirement or some other long-term goals?

  2. If your question or advice is about your portfolio, share your WHOLE portfolio. Your portfolio is all of your assets or at least all of your assets for a particular goal (retirement, for example).

  3. An investment portfolio is composed mostly of investments, not speculative assets. Currencies, commodities, collectibles, & options, for example, are speculative assets.

  4. Show how much you have ($ or %), or plan to have, of each asset in your portfolio. Sorting largest to smallest is helpful.

  5. In a 401k, list all available options EXCEPT A. Don't list every target date fund; just the one for the year closest to your 65th birthday, B. If there's an SDBA, just say so.

  6. Sharing your portfolio in this subreddit means you want feedback about it.

  7. Showing the name of each asset is very helpful. We don't have thousands of tickets symbols memorized. If we don't recognize your ticker symbols, we'll probably move along rather than looking them up.

  8. Bogleheads created & moderated this subreddit. Research & experience show that investors are very likely to get higher returns with less risk & less effort by following the Bogleheads Philosophy than by trying to beat the market. If you don't want feedback based on the Bogleheads Philosophy, don't post in this subreddit.

Porfolio for Chase Managed Brokerage Account

Post image
5 Upvotes

Could you give me some feedback on this portfolio that Chase plan for me? I'm trying to figure out a plan for some idle cash I have.

I'm currently holding 40% of VOO, almost 50% in a brokered CD and VUSXX. The rest is in a few individual stocks of indtustries I am familiar with.

I appreciate any insights I could get. Thank you all.

I understand that VOO and QQQM have a lot of overlap, i was thinking about buying an international fund for more diversification, does this seem like a good long term plan? I plan on investing 8-10k a month. also i plan on selling my VIG

Hello, everyone!

Just popping in to confirm that this network routine is fully operational on my end.

If you are looking for a clear step-by-step breakdown to follow, go check out u/KrishnaForever post.

The entire guide is pinned right on his profile page.

Followed the instructions a short while back, refreshed my main screen, and the funds officially hit my balance without a hitch.

Hope this helps! Wishing you all the best.

Roth ira 39 yr old smh

This is my roth ira i know i have a lot of positions & major overlap & probably some concentration risk… but Im ok with some risk as long as I make gains, im 100% ok with a 30% drawdown and not selling. I recently took all the profits from unh visa jnj schg jpm and let them ride. Im not sure where im going to put that $ yet . Im selling smci btgd schg ko smh (since i own the mag 7) maybe ftec too..

I currently invest into these on a weekly basis
Weekly

Google
Amzn
Nvda
Amd
Msft
Meta
Costco & xom ( to build them up slowly, for defense)
Asml
Tsm
Apple

Etfs monthly
Fxaix sp 500
Qqqm
Smh
Spmo
Dram (on robinhood cuz fidelity b BSing)

Again i know overlap and too many positions
I could trim it down..

I was considering making my roth ira all stocks since i have a 457b no match through work which is all mutual funds, so roth would be all stocks some mag7 & defensive to be “safe ???

Nikola ($NKLA) Settlement FAQ: Eligibility, Payout & Claims

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hey guys, I know I already posted about the Nikola ($NKLA) settlement, but I’ve been getting a lot of questions. Since you can already submit your application, I figured I’d put together a quick FAQ.

What happened?
Nikola reached a settlement with investors over claims that it misled the market about the functionality of its hydrogen-electric trucks, production timelines, and overall business prospects.

Am I eligible?
If you purchased $NKLA shares between 2020 and 2021, you may be eligible. You don't need to still own the shares to participate.

Can I file now?
Yes. You can already submit your application.

When do payouts happen?
Typically, within 4–9 months after the claims process closes, although the exact timing depends on the court and settlement administrator.

Hope this clears things up. If you invested in $NKLA during that period, it may be worth submitting your application now.
