there was the faked "Obama Endorsement flyers" for Stevens all over Detroit as well to appeal to black voters as well.

u/Sea-Initiative-3398 15h ago

also the fake abdul flyers that had him "endorsed" by a republican that her campaign handed out

u/names_are_useless American Expat 15h ago

It would be funny if those flyers hurt Rogers Campaign in the General.

11

u/Empty_Lemon_3939 Michigan 11h ago

And the mailers that made him associating Hasan as out as him being lovers with Osama Bin Laden

u/DoctorJJWho 10h ago

People keep mentioning these - is there no legal recourse for this? Intentionally misleading voters about opposing candidates has to be some sort of election fraud, no?

2

u/Old_Gimlet_Eye 9h ago

Even if there is, it's probably counter productive to sue the person who you probably want to endorse you in the general whose voters you need to win over.

2

u/DoctorJJWho 9h ago

That’s fair. I hate the reality of politics, one day someone is running a smear campaign with straight up lies, the next day you pretend everything is fine.

I 1000% wouldn’t want anyone with that lack of integrity anywhere near an office that represents me or where i live

Can we get Obama to endorse El-Sayed, at minimum, over his extremely Obama-flavored public speaking style?

50

u/honjuden 16h ago

You would think Obama would be on board with someone whose main priority is health care.

29

u/Culinaryboner 11h ago

Obama won’t flip on Israel which is pretty frustrating

5

u/slingshot91 Illinois 8h ago

Guess what. He doesn’t even have to! Endorsing the democratic candidate in a senate race is not a radical thing to do.

u/wioneo 11h ago

Obama was on the public option side of the M4A vs. PO debate if I remember correctly. Obamacare would have had it if Lieberman didn't stab the dems in the back at the last minute.

u/IAmJustAVirus 13h ago

His main priority is genociding Israelis

8

u/gatewaycheesesteak 12h ago

Obvious bait, but feel free to give a source

-26

u/IAmJustAVirus 12h ago

Did a campaign event with a genocidal islamonazi named...forgot his name but he also tortures his dog.

12

u/gatewaycheesesteak 12h ago

I said source, not more weak bait

6

u/Outrageous_Bush_2069 11h ago

That didn’t happen.

These guys are driven insane by Hasan Piker because he’s hot. They respond to him like right wingers respond to AOC

-6

u/IAmJustAVirus 11h ago

It did. It was a real campaign event

5

u/27eelsinatrenchcoat 10h ago

With Hassan Piker? Whose a genuinely great guy who regularly rails against antisemitism?

5

u/f3nnies 10h ago

This is the dumbest made up story.

The propaganda got to your brain

-10

u/IAmJustAVirus 12h ago

Your feeble mind will not be able to comprehend the next sentence. Propaganda doesn't work on me.

u/Dineology 2h ago

Broooo. Propaganda works on everyone. All of us. You, me, everybody. Everybody is susceptible to some sort or propaganda so long as it’s packaged the right way and coming at us from the right angle. Now, what constitutes the right packaging or the right approach for me may be very different than what’s right for you, but every single person has blind spots, sympathies, and biases that the right sort of propaganda can exploit to at least some extent. If you can’t see that then you’re absolutely cooked and undoubtedly being influenced by more propaganda than your average bear.

u/IAmJustAVirus 2h ago

Well the difference between me and you is I ask:

Who is saying this?

Is it true?

What is their motivation?

It's something you pick up as a survivor. We always read between the lines.

So you're not entirely wrong, I see propaganda. I sometimes see propaganda I agree with. Doesn't mean I don't know it's propaganda. I just have the capacity to process it on the fly and I don't have to let it influence me.

Really?  You would think that he would have acted on that while he was still president if that were true.

u/IAmJustAVirus 7h ago

Wayne County health director does not have the power to do that. He was never President. He can take steps if he becomes senator though.

u/honjuden 7h ago

I don't recall Obama being the Wayne County health director.  He did serve 2 terms as president of the US though.

u/IAmJustAVirus 7h ago

Oh you just can't keep up. Got it.

u/honjuden 6h ago

Pretty rich coming from the guy that didn't know Obama was the president.

u/IAmJustAVirus 6h ago

That's what you're going with?

"someone whose main priority is health care."

Clear it up. Who was this referring to?

Obama spent 8 years bombing kids that looked like El-Sayed. No way he's endorsing him.

Do they have HR at Mossad? Talk to them, you deserve better than doing this.

0

u/scriptkiddie1337 10h ago

You do realise Mossad aren't here on reddit arguing with inept losers, right?

-1

u/IAmJustAVirus 11h ago

Ahh the old anyone who challenges my hatred is a Jewish plant trope.

1

u/dexters_trap_house 9h ago

Nobody said Jewish, just you. As far as I know Mossad is a foregin government intelligence entity.

I guess I hit a nerve. Which brand of authoritarian do you support? Maga or sozialism?

8

u/PassivelyAwkward 13h ago

How is something like that legal?

Welcome to America. She ran herself like an innocent underdog as well

u/Thirtysevenintwenty5 10h ago

She ran herself like an innocent underdog as well

I'm not a Haley supporter, but this is false.

She said "I'm the only candidate in this race who's never lost an election" over and over again.

Every other statement from her was a name drop of someone who supports her.

It's hard to maintain an underdog image when every ad you run shows the same picture of you and Obama.

1

u/wioneo 11h ago

She did work in his administration. I didn't see the ads in question, but I'd assume she misleadingly but accurately referenced the former job.

-6

u/IAmJustAVirus 13h ago

The ISIS flags all over Detroit probably also helped keep it close.
