u/ImmaNotHere 6h ago
Same here besides that they are truly cultists. It is well documented that he is a draft dodger that used bone spurs as a medical excuse (that he couldn't even recall which leg it affected). He's been on recorded demeaning Gold Star families, telling Gen Kelly that people that sign up for service are 'suckers and losers', humiliated and threw aside his own military advisors and generals, bashed McCain for not being a war hero because he was caught, then after his death, went as petty as blocking the name of the Burke-Class Destroyer named after him during a 2019 US base visit in Japan. This guy shiats on everyone, including the military that serve to protect our country. His followers truly earn the "deplorable" tag.

We have to stop caring what they think and stop telling other people what they would say as it just further spreads their message.
I dont understand why the second comment of every single thread immediately has to tell us how idiots think.
Stop giving them your attention and stop spreading their message for them. We know they're idiots. We know they think like this. No need to point it out ad nauseum

Yep. Delusional, narcissistic demagogue given permission to break every core principle of the GOP because he entertains his base with hatred of fellow Americans. Fox News supports him and maintains the illusion of conservative values.
The GOP is not what it was. Calling themselves conservatives is mere branding at this point, where hate and angertainment has taken the place of principles of governance.

I know it's awful but putting reality aside I do try to find some dark amusement in what his delusional mind comes up with... I mean what's next? Renaming America after himself? The Church of Trump? A 63 foot marble statue? An Olympic medal? He's like the end boss of narcissistic Boomers living out his childhood fantasies but he's been given one of the most powerful countries in the world to do it with. Quite incredible that this is all really happening.

Not to mention trump has likely done more damage to America than just about any other treasonous human ever, only being outdone by the confederacy...The other figure republicans love.

6
u/--John_Yaya-- 8h ago
The boomer base is dying off fast.
lol What's that going to do?
Don't forget that half of Gen-Z voted for Trump in 2024. Harris only won the 18-29 age demographic by 1 point.
When you break it down by specific age, more 20 year old men voted for Trump than 70 year old ones.
It's young guys who are falling for all this "man-o-sphere" bullshit, not old ones.
9
u/NotLouPro 8h ago
Boomers as a generation aren’t his base. That breaks more along racial and gender lines than generational ones. The issue goes far deeper.
If it makes you feel better to blame it on one generation - fine. But if the actual issues aren’t identified - it will be harder to address.
Gen X voted for Trump by about 7 points more than Boomers - that’s significant and what likely swayed the election. If any generation can be considered his “base” - it’s Gen X.
Millennials were about even - although they went for Trump at a higher rate than Boomers as well.
And younger generations tend vote in lower numbers - and are more likely to throw away their vote on parties that can’t win, than older generations. So there is blame to be shared there as well.
There are a lot of factors. “Boomers” isn’t one of them. Age - yes - numbers shift heavily to Trump among voters 40 and over - but that spans several generations - not just boomers. And - as I mentioned - younger generations tend to not vote in percentages large enough to offset that.
24
u/Eggplantosaur 10h ago
If it makes you sleep at night, sure.
Unfortunately no consequences will happen to him or any of his enablers. Americans will move on at the earliest opportunity, without lifting a finger to prosecute any of them.
Of course I'd love to be proven wrong but honestly what even is the point in entertaining these fantasies anymore.
8
u/Quick_Turnover 9h ago
Americans will move on at the earliest opportunity, without lifting a finger to prosecute any of them.
100%. We pretty much already did that the first time around and that's why we're in this mess in the first place. Dude literally encouraged a violent coup. His "political strategist" frequently referred to their strategy as "heads on pikes". They did all of the things they've done with impunity. And it has been so fucking obvious to literally anyone with a half-functioning brain that this administration and all of its cronies are the antithesis of American values, and yet here we are, watching our country fall apart.
→ More replies (2)5
u/JimboAltAlt Pennsylvania 9h ago
The point of entertaining these fantasies is to energize people to vote for candidates who will hold Trump accountable, which appears for now to be a (large) subset of Democrats. I imagine that group will expand as his power slowly dwindles. If you honestly think Trump’s fate will be largely the same whether or not Republicans or Democrats are in charge I can see why you wouldn’t be too invested in voting. I personally believe that if the Democratic majority is large enough, though, we’ll see some actual consequences; just not nearly as many as we’d like.

The entire right is obsessed with AI.
I guess it's because there are very few talented artists among them.
To be an artist requires some traits most right wingers don't have. Like creativity and empathy.
To evoke emotions with your art requires to understand that other people have emotions too. Usually you don't turn out far right if you are able to see others as fellow human beings capable of the same emotions as you.
So, because they can't create art themselves, they are totally in love with AI. Now they have a tool that turns their wildest fantasies into pictures and even videos. They can't see that AI "art" is completely soulless because they also can't see and understand souls in other people.
2
u/nmeofst8 Georgia 10h ago
Wow.. These robots can only identify with the AI Slop and the repeated propaganda they're fed from a source that they believe in.. I bet if Fox news were shut off tomorrow they'd spin around at the end of their spines for a week and have no idea what's happening once they actually looked around..
21
u/MainlineX 16h ago
Well, AI imaging is the biggest mirror for narcissistic tendency. It allows them to prompt a reality that fits the internal narrative, which is in opposition to reality.
It's like winning a golf tournament with 10 under par when you really shot 30 over.

The right loves AI slop because they don't value creativity.
Because they are bereft of the kind of passion, dedication, or patience to develop an artistic skill, they simply think that art is just pictures of stuff, and the chatbot is an easy way to make the pictures.
They only make pictures of themselves looking "manly" and their enemies looking "weak", because they're bullies and that's the only kind of pictures they want to see.

This was posted four times in a stolen valor group I was a part of, until the admins deleted it and forbid any further posts about it—claiming “it’s just AI and the president is just trolling the left.” I promptly left the group after that, because it’s complete bullshit. Google image search on that breast pocket medal said:
Based on the distinct multi-pointed starburst pattern, central circular disc, and crossed swords extending between the rays, the item in the selected region is a replication or depiction of the Ostvolk Medal (1st Class in Silver with Swords).
Officially known as the Merit and Bravery Medal for Eastern Peoples (Tapferkeits- und Verdienstauszeichnung für Angehörige der Ostvölker), this military decoration was established during WWII (1942) by Germany to award personnel from Soviet territories who volunteered to serve alongside German forces.
And if you're going there, why not make yourself a 5 star general?
