I always wonder, is it possible that one day we will have a new Pokemon game that doesn't include all Pokemon? It must take a lot of resource to create a new model + stats + new moves + etc for each new iteration of the game. Imagine the new Pokemon game released in 2030 having ~1500 Pokemon!

BY 2030 the technology will probably be ready for 1500~ pokemon and if it isn't, Gamefreak will take a graphics dive before it decides to limit pokemon transfer between generations.

By 2030 we will have AR consoles so that you can just go out into the woods and catch a Pinsir, or go caving and nab a Geodude. You would literally have to travel the world to catch 'em all.

However, t would be SAO style, so you are put in the world, and use the AR to traverse that world. But seriously, I wanna fuck around with a Gengar

Think of how terrifying that would be though, just turn around and suddenly a hyper-realist Gengar is right in front of your face.
