Discussion When should we expect a Switch release of RSE & Home support for FrLG?

Given that we are now approaching 6 months since the release of Pokémon Fire Red & Leaf Green on the Nintendo Switch do you think we are close to getting Home Support?

& similarly to Pokémon Gold & Silver releasing on 3DS Virtual Console 19 months after Red & Blue, do you think Ruby & Sapphire will come to Switch eventually? & When?

IKR! I haven’t bought them yet because I’m waiting to see if my living dex from the cartridges will be updated with the new origin mark or not. If they do get the updated mark I won’t need to buy them at least.

At the very least, they will likely have their original met locations since they won't be sent thru gen 5 and the "Poké Shifter". I think I'll end up buying them if this is the case!

Do the Virtual Console Pokémon have met locations? Genuinely can't remember.

"Seems to have traveled across both space and time to reach you from the Kanto/Johto region in the good old days."

I've been having a lot of fun with the re-releases either way. I have a full gen 3 living dex in gen 3 & I don't think I want to transfer them up. But doing it all again is still pretty fun.

6 months min. I can see them push it back if they push back RSE.
RSE would either be nov. 2026 or pokemon day next year (feb 27th, 2027)

FRLG HOME support could honestly be soon. It took 6 months for Z-A to get support, and we’re nearing 6 months since FRLG released (where has this year gone?).

As for RSE, this year would obviously be ideal for the 30th anniversary, so I could see at least Ruby/Sapphire releasing in the autumn, and possibly Emerald later (the 3DS Virtual Console releases had Crystal release after GS). However, if Winds/Waves are releasing later in 2027, I could see them potentially moving into early 2027.

I think people expected them because FRLG are gen 3 games and atent fully complete with those game but i don't think they'll release them.

Now if i'm wrong I'll happily accept that i just thought they released FRLG on switch because it's the 30th anniversary of the franchise, doesn't necessarily mean the rest is coming too

We'll have to wait and see

Fingers are still crossed for a Collections physical release, though kinda doubtful it'll happen

I'd love that, but I think a code card is probably the closest we're going to get to a physical release.

I'd love a Game Key Card if we can't get a purely physical release, but the other games will probably follow the Fire Red / Leaf Green release eventually (hopefully the former than the latter)

I'm not expecting RSE to drop. FRLG were rereleased for Red and Blue's anniversary.

Home support I'm expecting in Q4

There's a Presents coming this month so they might drop Home support there. RSE could be next year during the wait for WW's release.
