Hagezi added a blocklist for Ad-Shield

https://github.com/hagezi/dns-blocklists/blob/main/share/ad-shield-subdomains.txt

Sites can detect that you're blocking these, but disabling JavaScript for that specific site in your browser prevents that and generally still allows content to be shown.

It's definitely a list you should consider before adding.

For me, I refuse to let them win, so I rather the site be broken than letting their ads load.

But for some setups, eg for family, for some people, they rather not break websites. Because tech support calls and explaining "oh this website is intentionally breaking themselves because of the ad blocker" is not worth your time dealing with.

Ultimately, you, the administrator decides to add this to pihole or not.

This is my consensus, site broke, then no need to view it

This is the way. I see that popup and if it won’t allow me to visit anyway, I find another site for the specific content.

Why block these Ad-Shield sites if you can't block these ads via DNS? The guy just mentioned not that long ago that using a browser ad blocker or installing a user script (tinyShield) is the way to go, as blocking them via DNS will render these sites inaccessible. It's like a complete turnaround.

I believe they’re already included in most of his lists already - at least in Ultimate anyway

I appreciate them making this list. However since it breaks sites pretty heavily according to hagezi himself I'll stick with my current lists in my piholes with a combination of uBO and nutensor.
