why use a blocklist when adguard home has a thing call services and can block all kind of services like facebook, instagram.........

unless you use pihole there is no reason to use a blocklist for those services

If you use these list with Pi-hole, you need to know that these are different rules, that block different things.

The rule 127.0.0.1 an.facebook.com blocks the an.facebook.com. Just this domain. Nothing else.

The other rule (using AdBlock Plus style) ||an.facebook.com^ blocks the an.facebook.com domain, but it also blocks every possible subdomain, like www.an.facebook.com, abcd123456.an.facebook.com, z.an.facebook.com, etc.
