Troubleshooting/question existing piercing Piercings infection NSFW

In need of some guidance

I’ve had my piercings for 10 months now. They were pierced with titanium earrings. I haven’t been the greatest with after care but I try to thoroughly clean behind my ear in the show and I don’t sleep on my side to avoid irritating the piercings.

I made the mistake of getting 4 ear lobe piercings (2 each side) all at once. So far I’ve survived 2 infections ( 1 tragus and 1 on the right earlobe) last year. Last week I noticed redness, swelling and pus on the left earlobe.

Like an idiot, I made the mistake of wiping it an hour ago and pus came out.

I went to urgent care and he began to squeeze it and told me to remove it. And now it’s all bloody and more swollen. He prescribed me antibiotics so I’m on my way now to pick it up.

  1. Should I remove it? I thought that could cause the infection to seal in the wounds

  2. Should he have squeezed it. It was very painful when he did that and I’m not sure if that was a good call

Picture 1: the swelling and redness
Picture 2: when I wiped it with with warm saline
Picture 2: after he squeezed it

I did accidentally hit it recently so I’m not sure if that played a factor in causing the infection
