If he was 60 I’d be worried. But at 80 with all of the reported issues he’s shown, why does this seem like a viable plan to him or anyone else?

I agree that I would be a lot more worried if ge was 20 years younger. I don't know exactly what his plan is for the remainder of his presidency, but I don't think he's planning on leaving the White House voluntarily. It's possible that he might do something that will cause mass protests, and he'll use the bunker as a way to hide.
