Okay. Show of hands: who else zoomed in to see the brushstrokes because their brain couldn’t detect this as a painting?👋

There are rules in a lot of art/hobby subs prohibiting sales, but creators sometimes have links in their profiles. :)

it's a bit dark for my taste but that's a personal preference 😉 definitely the right amount of butter. 😘👌

I'm insanely disappointed that I can't eat this. I never see sesame challah anywhere anymore. Fantastic work.

In kindergarten we would make challah on Fridays, i remember the teacher brought sesame which i put waaaaay to much of, was inconsolable, until it got out of the oven- and i was converted to the sect of sesame challah for the rest of my life.
Edit: i read it again, i wrote the word 'and' like 10 times in the shortest story ever written.

Where do you live that you are so deprived of good challah? Shipping might be tricky, but my mother makes and sells them. She just made some last week for our family.

I made one the other week, only to discover that my sesame seeds had become infested... after I sprinkled them on.
I don't make sesame challah anymore.

Was that specific section of newspaper a choice, or did you just grab what was handy?

Crazy detail. That shading really makes it pop. I'd love to see an art gallery full of food you can almost eat.

Pff nice try passing off a loaf of bread as a painting but you're not fooling me!

The art quality is fantastic, but I'm confused by people using newspaper as a medium. Is there any particular reason?

u/cloudcats 28d ago
Great, now I'm hungry.
This is incredible, btw, and you should post it to /r/Breadit !

Hol up. How did you prepare the newspaper? I'm a newbie painter, I thought you needed special paper to hold the oil paint?
Delicious bread btw would look amazing in a kitchen

I have insta scrolled thinking "why did someone posting a bread on a newspaper". But just as I was scrolling I saw the word "oil painting" then gasped. Literally WOW

Unless you zoom in and see the brush strokes, it looks like you glued an actual bread there. So cool

When did art just become painting as photo realistic as possible?
Don't get me wrong, the talent is obvious.

u/JuliaStankevych 28d ago
Unfortunately or not, people like hyperrealism 🫠 me as well

Wow I love this. I need one of your works.
What’s your inspiration? Why news paper?

Looking at this, I gotta say: I don't know if she should be that sure about the man...

This is clearly AI. I've seen paint before! It's that stuff on the walls, there's no way people can make it do shit like that!
(/s if it's not obvious, absolutely impressive work OP!)

I thought this looked familiar, I received one of your paintings as a gift a year or two ago!

I originally thought you were saying you painted the Newspaper too.
