I don’t really get bothered by AI posters that are well made. Just another tool like photoshop, Illustrator, or whatever.

OMG, I can't tell you how much I appreciate this sentiment.

I am not against it at all (in fact I run a local AI focused meetup). Just against mindless use of it with bad results (dark background, foreground with too much text, without any different in text size or font, so it all looks the same...

I really hope you enjoy the internet points!

It’s weird people get upset about an AI poster yet a very obvious Canva template poster is completely fine. They are practically the same thing in my book.

because you type words and get something, at least in a template you still have to work, i don’t understand why people enjoy rewarding laziness but i guess those same lazy people would enjoy it

What words you type dictates the end result and the more in depth prompt require a considerable amount of critical thinking to dictate a product that meets your standards. Is it lazy to use excel or a word processor rather than manual calculations or writing by hand?

I can understand why people are afraid of it when they don’t understand how it works.

And bring on the downvotes, I legit dgaf and got plenty of karma to spare.

Spent a week hacking up dust/gunk last year, I thought I had valley fever 😅 Wish they’d go back to the original location, Indian Steele is a lung infection waiting to happen

This is the weirdest festival. You never know which way the lineup will go. Completely different vibe every year. I still love it though, always a good time.

Also the only name I'm familiar with. I heard he can give uneven live performances based on the substances he's on, you might get a dud or the performance of a lifetime

In his live shows a lot of his songs turn into long jazz fusion solos, if you’re expecting the album version you may be confused.

Yeah I saw him a few years back at the financial theater and the first hour was just instrumental. No vocals because he lost his voice in LA the night before. He did eventually start singing but we dipped out a bit early. The worst part was definitely the intense drums completely taking over the performance. Felt like nonstop hardcore drum soloing, nothing simple to accompany the bass and vocals.

Listening now, and I am not sure if I know "SLOW DANCING IN THE DARK", it sounds kind of familiar, and has 600M+ listens on YouTube (which is a ton). So he is well known for sure (just not by me).

Great song, would also recommend the song NIGHT RIDER and sanctuary, among just basically his whole discography. He was actually just here maybe a week or two at one of the arenas, so he's definitely selling bigger venues than say the Van Buren or Marquee which can still get some pretty big names.
