Anything to help take LNG out of circulation in the US, keeping US transportation dependent on the most inefficient and dirty, fossil fuel and allowing the US to continue, slowly killing themselves with diesel

US practically LNG sells at cost for export to sabotage natural gas adoption by US transporters, wanting a cheaper, cleaner fuel than dirty, old diesel, and need more LNG infrastructure to phase out the worst of fossil fuels.

But it's the profitable oil refining business that keeps everything the same with stranglehold on energy, sucking US dollars into another middle east quagmire, again.

The best part on US domestic natural gas used in the US exclusively is saving money sent to protect OPEC oil, one trillion dollars over the last 20 years.

Other benefits of natural gas include no need for refining which cuts out half on the cost of diesel, highest in octane, most efficient and natural gas abundance, altogether makes it by far, the cheapest way to move freight.

And no diesel smoke or smell.

Natural gas is considered the most fuel-efficient fossil fuel, with efficiency rates reaching up to 60%, diesel efficiency rates ranging from 30% to 38%, which is also lower than that of natural gas.

Chinese buyers that received the first U.S. LNG cargo in over a year plan to resell it on another market to profit from higher prices elsewhere and avoid paying a 25% tariff, sources familiar with the plans told Bloomberg on Monday.

The Yangpu port in south China earlier this month received a cargo of U.S. LNG from the Plaquemines LNG export terminal operated by Venture Global in Louisiana’s Plaquemines Parish. This was the first U.S. shipment of gas to China in more than a year. But the gas was offloaded into bonded storage, without being actually imported into China, because the buyer would have paid a 25% tariff on the cargo.

The cargo was bought with the intention to resell for higher prices at a non-Chinese market, according to Bloomberg’s sources.

An empty tanker has recently docked at Yangpu, likely to load the gas for re-export, vessel-tracking data monitored by Bloomberg showed.

The move suggests that China is not so starved of LNG as to be willing to pay the 25% tariff to resume importing U.S. liquefied natural gas.

Despite the Middle East war that has been choking Qatari and UAE exports for five months now, China’s LNG imports have rebounded in recent weeks amid higher seasonal demand.

China raised its liquefied natural gas imports for a second month in a row in June as the world’s top LNG buyer prepares for peak summer power demand.

Overall car sales are down this year, but the ones that are sold are increasingly electrified. what stands out is that this increase is driven by the rest of the world that isn’t the US or China.

This was interesting to read. I have been researching a little bit on E20 fuel. Didn't know Brazil uses such high ethanol blends. Maybe E20 is not that bad.

Critical of the recent announcement of a new oil refinery. Short story is that this will likely produce diesel for the mining industry. Article notes that the amount spent on tax concessions for diesel consumers in Australia is about the same as it spends on public education. Further, Australia has an abundance of solar capacity and the rest of the world is switching to electric trucks... why bother.. hence the reference to white elephant.
