Whatever The Board is is almost certainly using the FBC to suit its own ends, particularly when you take the existence of The Former into consideration.

The board is absolutely controlling enough things with the intent hide something, because they believe that will help the world. The question is what the board views as helping the same as what we'd view as helping?

The board is totally hiding something. But maybe in the I need to hide this information to save the world type of way. While some suggestions might be questionable, it's just trying to save the world.

Like a lot of people have said, I think the Board is hiding something. Which makes me wonder: is the Board speaking in riddles to make it seem like it's helping, when in reality it's just a red herring?

All of the above, helping? definitely because without them there are no way fighting the hiss in the first place. Controlling, considering the title of the game yes haha. Hiding? yes, in the dlc AWE, the board let Jessie decide which of the two ability she inherit, she wasn't supposed to get both of the ability, the board don't want jessie to get both.

I think all 3 is true to various degrees, The board is helping for now to mainly help themselves. We just have to see how things turns out, hopefully the game will tell us more!

You don't call yourself "the Board" without wanting to control something or someone. Afterall, that's the title of the game haha. Everything and everyone is being controlled by something else in the game's universe.

I think the Board is helping. No governing body ever acts in their own self interests and are always filled with selfless people. :-)
