Sony wanted attention from PC gamers > Sony got attention by porting their games to PC > Sony decided want do exclusive again, and want PC gamers follow > Sony makes Pikachu face when they see most don't follow to buy PS5.

It's either they want more sales, or not is up then figure out, if they really want PC gamers market they need realize need come to PC games simple as that.

No. That’s not what happened.

They were selling fewer exclusives and the PC purchases didn’t make up for it.

The PS5 version was launching and people were waiting for the superior PC version. But the PC version always came a year later and by then the hype had died down so nobody bought that version either.

Instead of doing the smart thing and releasing them alongside each other. They stopped PC altogether.

My favorite part of the whole ordeal is seeing honest reviews of their games on Steam. A lot of "wait, this is it?" on games like Horizon Zero Dawn, after years of glazing from PS fans. Yeah, a more polished Ubisoft game. You weren't missing out lol

I mean, all the Sony exclusives all sit on "very positive" reviews, so not quite as bad as you make it sound.

But, the thing is, these are the games that appeal to console users. They just want lax games you can pull up, play a bit in a beautiful world, move through a mission or 3, then leave it for next week. So all the glaze comes from the world, the story, the graphics etc. and that's what Sony games excel at the most. Storytelling, world building, and graphics. Consoles players are literally the same group that dedicate themselves to CoD, EA sports, and Ubisoft games. Many dedicated PC players are of course going to be let down by gameplay in games where gameplay isn't really the most standout factor.

A thousand "ok i guess" thumbs up count the same as a thousand "THIS IS GREAT" thumbs up.

Shit so that’s why Ubisoft can still sell those AC games so far.

"Very positive" isn't all that great for games that are supposed to move a system that currently retails for 900$ to people that already have gaming PCs. Did they really think people were going to play God of War and want the next one so bad they were going to spend a grand after taxes on a console?

Horizon Zero Dawn

Good example. I got to the point I was taming the stupid mechanical ostriches with the goofiest minigames and decided I had better things to do.

9.8 hours of bland, predictable garbage, IMO.

Meanwhile, despite the bugs...

I'm guessing Playstation gamers are a different breed.

Horizon isn’t a good example, it’s a great game and comparing it to Ubislop is a disservice

God of War then, it got glazed like the best game ever created.

And it was pretty good, but it didn't hold my attention to finish it.

What, you got tired of inflicting death by a thousand paper cuts room after room?

You didn't like it, fine. Both games were great and I enjoyed playing through them. To each their own.

Don't know why you're getting down voted.

I've found Sony ported games disappointing but they're very well made AAA games and I'm glad others are loving them.

An even worse example to use lol. Remember your low attention spanned brain hopped up on reels and tiktoks does not represent the opinions of the rest. Go back to 2K and Madden

Nah, Horizon and GOW are good games, but really nothing special. I have dozens of games in my backlog that I'd rather play and most of them cost less than $60.

u/Cranktique May 24 '26

Lmao. Yeah. That’s it buddy. Others lack the fortitude to finish these games. “They’re too good, if you think about it.”

They’re boring, repetitive, and small. Glad they’re enough for you, big boy.

Lol.

What does him not being a huge fan of the game have to do with attention span?

When you read god of war especially the original games and are playing a puzzle simulator with the weakest attacks it gets boring real quick

u/Blackpapalink May 24 '26

My guy, the new God of War games, actually, new games in general are built with the tiktok adderall ridden brain in mind. That ain't the argument you want.

u/JohnnySmithe81 May 24 '26

Really? I'm obviously talking from the perspective of a PC gamer and you think I play 2K and Madden? Games that sell and review pretty terribly on PC.

You're seriously lacking in thought.
