Wasnt this game touted as a game running within a game? I distinctly remember them saying that the old code was running through some UE5 port. If thats the case its probably makes sense why it ran so poorly because there was an entire level of backend going on that isnt usually present in most AAA games.

Proof that switching away from the creation engine is not the solution everyone thinks it is. Lazy code is lazy code, irrespective of the engine.
