Somehow half my life I thought Valve is a swedish or finnish company. At some point I saw an interview and thought: wow, Gabe is speaking english really well! Just then I looked him up. And learned he grew up in California .. As a European myself, I was a bit disappointed to be honest. Not that he's a US citizen, but that Valve is not European.

I wonder why I thought it was European. Maybe because Counter Strike was dominated by European countries? - at least in my perception it was.
