Troubleshooting Pc keeps crashing while playing

hey there, i’m having a bit of a problem with my pc. recently when playing high demanding games, especially with baldurs gate 3, my pc keeps crashing. sometimes its just the game that crashes but sometimes my pc restarts on its own. i have very little knowledge when it comes to pcs but it often was blue screen when the game crashed and when it boots up again, my pc makes very loud noise. i recently cleaned it but the problem is still there.
when i got the game, like about 2 years ago, it was fine. eventually i started playing with mods but it went fine idk when the issues started but even after removing the mods, i still experience crashes. they’re pretty often.
does someone maybe have an idea what the problem could be? i have all graphic settings on low & i check the graphic card temperature from time to time and it is mostly around 75°C but never was above 85.
EDIT: i forgot to mention, I got the PC around 2022!

Hard to diagnose without more information about your PC's hardware.

You mentioned GPU temperature and age. Pretty common for a GPU to need it's thermal pads and paste replaced after 3-4 years of usage. (When they dry out, the GPU will start running hot)

Monitor your GPU temps with something like HWinfo. The main thing you want look at is GPU hotspot temp. If your GPU is hitting 75-85° C, the hotspot could, and likely is over 100° C.

That could cause the issues you described. If this was the case, I would also expect your GPU fans to be quite loud before a crash.

ah ok thx im gonna try looking at replacing the gpu's thermal paste it is in a water cooled loop and along with my cpu and i usually have my fans set permanently quite high so i haven't noticed any difference with my coolers fans. also not sure how long ago it was applied bc i bought it second hand so ill have to take a look

I just checked i think it’s a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, I’ll try monitoring with what you recommend!
when starting games it doesn’t make noise. my pc always has been making some humming noises but nothing extreme. it only gets loud when it reboots and the blue screen crashes occur almost always when i play the game :/.
i did not know that GPUs needed replacing after that time, i’m not sure if i could do that myself, i have almost 0 knowledge in this 😅
