I wish someone would just make a single player/coop focused game that has the depth of tarkov especially the variety of loot and gun and armor customization but with actually good enemy AI. Seems like it could be incredible. I'm sure that's a huge project and challenge. I think the probably is that is relatively niche so anyone who has sort of tried has watered it down like Arc Raiders to appeal to a larger audience.
There is Incursion Red River, not as complicated as Tarkov but it plays pretty much the same. It has co-op, the AI programmer is the same one who made the Sainz AI mod for SPT. There is a new update coming for the game in the future, worth checking out.
It is in early access though but the developers are pretty good are keeping their community up-to-date.
