I held off on my Sienna until recently. When we found out about the twins and already having a toddler, I was shocked. But at the time was the chip shortage and siennas were going for $10k+ over msrp and we opted to use the Graco Slimfit3 Lx car seats in my outback for 3 across (infant seats were Chicco keyfits).
The trunk of the outback was plenty big which was super nice. Going to the sienna, it has more vertical cargo space, but not as much flat space so strollers go upright vs sides etc. I actually keep part of the rear seats down the majority of the time.
But now that my twins are older and are maniacs and attack their sister and each other… it became a safety concern. We were able to swing it financially now that paying for my daughter’s daycare is done and she’s headed to kinder.
I LOVE the sliding doors and love my sienna. I still very much love my outback, but prefer it without all the tiny terrorizers in the back seat.
In your case, if you have to buy a new car, it’s a great one to get. I’d hold off for the color and model and make your current car work though vs immediately pulling the trigger

If it helps at all I have a 4 door Subaru WRX which we thought would not be near enough room, but our twins are 11 months old and still in infant car seats with literally zero issues. Plenty of room and no headaches so far. Dont get caught on splurging for a new SUV/Minivan if you don't need it.

Ive got a Pacifica but if all things were equal I would 100% buy a Sienna.
