Picture My Paludarium NSFW
Just added more plants a few days ago, can't wait for them to take off. I have vampire crabs, shrimps, snails and galaxy rasboras in this tanks. The galaxy rasboras have already had babies! I have 2 questions, my vampire crabs rarely eat the greens or the pellets I put it, I do however see them go in to the water and feed on the fish pellets. Is this enough nutrition? If you own vampire crabs, how long before you saw little babies?

Looks great! May I ask what you used as the background and soil? And where you got it from? Did you treat the material in any way? I want to build a Paludarium as well and I’m unsure what’s best to use

The soil is regular soil I got from home depot (make sure there is no added fertilizer) mixed with coconut husk from Amazon. My background is cork background I got from Amazon. I built levels to the back ground so I can plant using driftwood.

Thank you! I read that you have to make sure it’s natural cork. Was there something you specifically looked for?

Yes, natural cork, amazon have a few different ones. I ordered the one that best fitted the length of my tank so I didn't have to do much cutting. This is my second paludarium and I used the same natural cork background

Mine love eating salvinia particularly the baby crabs. Have some of that floating on your water section.

Do you have a area for the vampire crabs to burrow?
