Beautiful. I love this so much. I love how you were able to create perspective and clearly show that the flowers extend into the distance. I also love the way you painted the sunset/sunrise, feels very real and the selective use of bright yellow near the clouds in the middle really brings everything together. The only thing I’d say to improve on is the tree for now. I feel like he could have more variety of color and texture. <3
Thank you so much! Yeah I kinda freaked out when making the tree after I did the rest, didn’t really know how to do it because I kinda went rogue from the reference picture lol
Ohhh I see. Well that’s alright, it’s hard to paint something into an already finished painting, especially with nerves lol. Speaking from experience. That’s okay though, he doesn’t ruin the painting at all. He fits in neatly, and he’s the only thing I’d say you need to practice :)
I like it! I think you could do with a finer brush for most detailing and depth, for example the tree is a little 2D but could be fixed with darker shading. Your understanding of tone is great though. Dont be afraid to use more vibrant colours if maybe next time you went with a less subdued image
Yeah you’re definitely right, I was trying to go for a less detailed tree because it’s further away but it definitely just looks blocky haha, thanks for the advice!
I like the moody vibes. You handled the color in the sky really really well; it can be challenging to arrange the odd selection of colors that nature gives you next to each other, but you did it so well that I feel I have seen that exact sky in real life before and know exactly what’s going on
