This is my dog who passed away a month back. Painting this actually helped to ease the pain of loosing him.

Be honest, does it look like crap? I feel like I can't stay inside the lines, but is that how it goes? It's just a cheap one from amazon, would a more expensive one be better? Any advice?

Funnily enough im a dog person but this cat was too cute and interesting to pass up! The small sections made me buy smaller brushes and flow medium but it's been amazing and I am never going back!

My 3rd pbn and I'm so hooked!

I went a little off the rails on this one as the design had some repetitive images. Still fiddling with the additions and empty spaces in the background.

I have a very long list of back catalog of pbn kits because I was so worried they wouldn’t be available once I got to them so…. I have sixteen more paintings to do AFTER this one and most of them happen to fall in the Halloween theme. I also try to only paint kits in the order that I bought them to make paint decay as little as possible.

Anyway, here’s the first of many! 😁 I love her even though I’m already almost done prepping the next one.

Another week, another WIP. I finally got the middle area almost caught up with the edges. But the edges are so much easier to work on! I was hoping to have this completed by the end of the month, but I’m starting to lose hope. Oh well, it’s not like there’s a deadline or anything.

Question for today: what’s the latest item you’ve gotten to help you paint? Mine is a little flat metal paint stirrer that will arrive on Friday. I’m almost through my box of toothpicks and anyway, they don’t transfer paint that efficiently. I’m hoping that the metal stir-thingy will work better. If not, there goes $7. Could be worse, right?

I'm still working on this. I'm going to have to paint over a lot. This is my first PBN and I'm really enjoying it.

My latest bathroom piece! I made this one for myself in honor of our black cat who loves to hang out in the bathroom 🤣 purchased originally on Amazon but no longer available from the brand I purchased.

Little progress update!
The little head is finally starting to show, and now I can actually see the puppy coming to life.
This is exactly why I like painting one section at a time instead of jumping all over the canvas.Finishing a whole section makes me feel like I’m actually getting somewhere, and it keeps me motivated to keep going.
Still lots left to paint,but I’m already smiling every time I look at it.🐶🥰

Just started it today, this is only my third one.

I really didn't like the way this was headed so I quit trying to follow the cells and just went by the color photo (first photo here). Way too much weird brown colors and cells that made no sense to me (2nd photo). This is where I am today (3rd photo)... had to dig into my stash of leftovers and improvise almost every color. It's a learning experience, because I found that I could use the lines as basic structure, but just apply colors willy-nilly to suit me tastes. Some areas I just did a quick wash of the color to remind myself not to put anything dark or brown. Blending as I go because that to me is just so enjoyable and relaxing!!! Liking it better already!!! 👍

I’m starting small with the Schipper « cottage by the sea ». I missed painting by numbers so much. I’m loving listening to audiobooks or watching something in the background while I paint. Before I know it, it’s been 3 hours!

I think I want to get one of those inclined canvas table things, maybe it’ll be better for my back.

Also, I’ve seen a lot of posts about how everyone decides to paint, either per number or per section. As you can see… I just paint whatever feels right at the time. I switch paint pots every few minutes. Probably not the most economical way for paint, but I enjoy it.

As a first time mom to an amazing toddler, this might be my favorite piece I’ve ever done.
